12oz bottle poured into a tulip.
A - Pours a light, hazy straw color and builds a great, 3-fingered foamy head. Bad retention, though, as by the time I put the bottle opener away it was almost halfway gone. Pretty mild looking; only a few stray bubbles rise every now and then. No lacing at all which is interesting.
S - Smell is crisp and spicy, pretty typical smelling. Getting a lot of banana, orange peel, and coriander. Smells a bit sweet as well, perhaps some sugary Belgian influence. Faint alcohol on the very end of the bouquet.
T - Taste is traditional as well. Lots of spice and orange, especially in the finish and aftertaste. Not getting a lot of complexity, and rather than transitioning between the flavors, I am bombarded with everything at once and it just sort of blends together. The overall flavor isn't necessarily bad, but I like to see some differentiation between the ingredients and a nice movement along the flavor profile. Alcohol is definitely present in the aftertaste, but too late to make an impact!
M - Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, heavily carbonated despite the appearance. Finish is dry and crisp.
D - Drinkability is moderate. While I found myself drinking this quick, often taking multiple sips in vain to differentiate some flavors, if this were toned down on the sweetness and amped in complexity, I could see this as easily (and foolishly) quaffable.

Pours a cloudy straw color with a finger of head that dissipated relatively quickly. The nose possesses the definite essence of Belgian yeast. The flavor is sour but generally flat and uninspiring. I am not terribly impressed with this offering from a respectable local brewery.
