25.4oz Cork and Cage.
Pours a dark black with a nice light brown colored head. The head dissipates quickly and the body is actually pretty thin. No lacing or clinging to speak of.
Smell is foremost booze, with the belgiany sharp sour smell, with a bit of coffee, chocolate malt.
Taste is very quad-like, dark fruits, grapes, with the background of chocolate, coffee stout.
Mouthfeel is very thin and supercarbonated, not like a soda, but much more than i enjoy.
Drinkability is alright, smooth but sooo boozy that it burns a bit.
Maybe im in over my head. I looove impy stouts but i think that this is a blend of 2 styles, a quad and an imperial stout, that falls short of expectations for both. I think it more closely aligns with a Quad but i was hoping for more of an Imperial Stout.

A: Pours jet black with a chocolate black head of about a finger
S: Bitter chocolate, smoke, oak, roast, and booze
T: A chocolatey sweetness hits right up front, moving into a dry and bitter cocoa in the middle, accentuated with a roasty smokiness on the end, with a great deal of booze heat
O: This is a pretty good stout, but I would probably prefer old heathen or heresy over this guy. A bit too simple for my tastes.

I picked up this bomber on a whim, because the price wasn't bad. Served in a pint glass, it poured a dark rich almost black color with an impressive 1/2 inch head of rich brown foam. I was surprised at the amount of carbonation that hit my tongue on the initial sip making it super crisp. I tasted notes appropriate to stouts, coco and tobacco being the most predominate. Definitely impressed with this beer. Check it out.
