Pours very hazy chestnut brown color with a tan head that leaves solid lacing.

Smells of smooth, deep caramel malts with good amounts of toffee and light amounts of light molasses. Also present are mild amounts of breadiness with even milder amounts of nuttiness and bready aromas.

Tastes similar to how it smells, though not quite as complex. Smooth and deep caramel malt flavors up front are joined quickly by hints of nuttiness and butterscotch. Mild amounts of breadiness and leafy hops come into play midway through the sip, fading out into a mildly bitter ending. Mouthfeel is good, with smooth carbonation.

Overall this was a very good beer for the style, and it’s one I hope to revisit once the weather is a little more fitting.

This really is a fantastic old style Maerzen. Cloudy copper colour in appearance. Brewed for Kirta or the traditional thanksgiving festival in Bayern.

The smell is grainy with some hop bitterness prevalent. The taste is fantastic - a good balance of armatic hops sweet Munich malt and graininess.

This really goes down a treat and you canNOT taste that it is 5.8%
