Poured from a 500mL bottle into my Ayinger weizen glass.

Golden stil de grain yellow body is luminous yet quite cloudy; a fist of active ivory merengue is held aloft above. Superior retention - incredibly dense tendrils of lace.

Sweet, clean, faintly grainy wheat aromatics are subsumed by the distinctive yet gentle phenols from the yeast.

Tart palate entry is joined by a dough-y complexity in short order. Brisk, faintly sweet tastes dry out in the finish with hints of winter fruit and the slightest pinch of coriander and clove. Faint bubble-gum notes in the aftertaste, though the balance is such that it is difficult to nail down the character of the flavor profile. Ice cream bananas and hints of fresh cream emerge as the beer warms.

Soft full and creamy mouthfeel - nearly perfect.

Incredibly well crafted with balance in mind - one of my first forays into good beer - after many years, this has held up well and continues to be one of my very favorite examples of the style.

A: Hazy, golden color. Pale white head with good retention.

S: Very powerful banana aroma. also, cloves and yeast.

T: Banana and spice in the flavor, along with there light honey and the sweetness of the malt. Yeast is obviously very present as well.

M: Light, if not a little on the thin side.

Overall: This is one of my favorite Hefeweizens. The aroma and flavors are more powerful than a lot of others I've had. I grabbed the four pack on a whim and I am very happy I did.

Nice and hazy golden with just a hint of orange and a large, creamy white head that sits there and dimples it's way down, but never really goes away. Leaves a tiny bit of lacing.

Spicy banana bread with some earthy grains and grassy hops. Sweet smelling, as usual, very standard for the style.

Right in line with the nose - the nice yeasty banana and clove taste taking the front with some good noble hops to balance it out. Not super complex, just your basic, fresh tasting Hefeweizen.

A pretty moderate body and not a huge amount of carbonation really. Creamy and smooth with little left on the tongue. Definitely refreshing.

Really nice, but not the most interesting one I've had. There's not a ton going on here, just a super basic version that works. I definitely wouldn't pass one up.

A rather pale hefeweizen, quite pale. Quite alot of carbonation and a soapy head.

Scent is wheaty grain, banana (less than Weihenstephaner I think( and light spice.
Smells like a textbook weizen.

Yes, this is a tasty beer. Well balanced, some wheaty doughiness, light lemonpeel (tiny hints of tartness even).

Mouthfeel is light to medium, a tad powdery, medium dry and it has light to medium carbonation.

Overall not a mindblowing beer but pretty good, a nice balanced weizen at a very fair price.
