From the same people who brew up the okey-dokey but
by no means Earth-shattering Lion Stout, come Lion Lager.
A slow pour got me 2 fingers of loose foam over a clear
honey-colored brew. The nose is pretty simple stuff- lager
yeast and a bit of light barley malt. Carbonation is steady,
but a few stops short of being really effervescent. The flavor
is slightly sweet light malt and a surprisingly assertive (for
the style) hop. Other wise it's pretty much like some of the
better all malt lagers coming out of the Indian subcontinent.
Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. Pretty simple stuff here,
but head and shoulders over what American macro brewers
put out 'cause they are too cheap to give up corn and rice.

Lion Imperial Premium Malt Pilnser had a clear gold body. A 2-finger white bubbly head was formed. The head held well and shrank to a foamy lacing that clung to the walls of my pilsner glass. The smell was clean, of fresh cut grass, bready with citrus notes. The taste follows the nose with a sweet finish but enough hops to keep the pilsner balanced. The mouth feel is light-medium to medium. crisp and smooth.
Lion's Imperial Malt Pilsner is one easy drinking Euro Strong Lager especially for the abv. Nice job Lion...I am a fan!

Poured into a pilsener glass, the appearance was a semi-hazy burnt yellow color with a slim white cap of a foamy head. Dissipated eventfully to leave a mild stringy sliding lace.
The aroma had some crisp sweet biscuits, grassy hops, alcohol whiffs, and a mild lemon scent - somewhat perfumey.
The flavor crushed all of the previously mentioned aromas together to create a fair perfumey, boozy and herbally sweet aftertaste. Biscuits back this up too.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a mild sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected. Booziness is there, but not as distracting as I thought it was going to be since I tasted and smelled it.
Overall, not a bad Euro Strong Lager, maybe again.

Taste: crisp, semi sweet malt, herbal notes.
Slight perfume nose. Pale gold semi clear, with a tight bubbled head small lace. Lite body. Delicate sweet version of a lager.
