Pours a clean deep yellow color, with a white head. Aromas of European hops and small amount of alcohol. A dry beer with a big presence of alcohol. It has a bigger body than most lagers, but a very clean end. It seems to hide the alcohol quite well, a tad earthy as well. A nice lager for a chilly fall night.

Perhaps I'm a little jaded or just spoiled after getting to know the differences of beers. Time was a beer like this would have been pretty high on my list. But now, after having different styles, a pilsner just doesn't seem to do it for me anymore. For what it is, it's acceptable. But then again, it ranks up there with a run of the mill grocery store brand. I probably won't revisit this one.

Is that light hop haze? Because, this bottle ain't that cold. Honey gold with a towering two inches of bright white head. Looks great.
Sweet, sweet grains and some light flowery hops. Ridiculously on-point from the label description. I doubted any hop aromas and I'm wrong. No booze noted. Just a really sweet and frosted cereal character. Still not a good nose, but I'm riding it out.
Wow. Holy sweet cereal water. Tastes like steeped cereal with sugar and a half-shot of vodka added. Slightly fruity, like a stale apple flavor in the finish. These pale malts are ripe with sweetness. Definitely, barley. No adjuncts noted, really. Just really strange.
One plus is a well-disguised 8.8%. Tastes more like 6%. Really thick for a lager, and the carbonation is way too soft. I'm hurting here.
Might be my first Euro Strong Lager, so I'll make it the bar-setter.

Just tried Lion Imperial for the first time and it is the finest Pilsner I have tasted sence leaving Europe in 1993. A fine beer that I would recommend to anyone full taste and body with nice amber color. The minute it hits your mouth it brings back the memories of what fine beer is suppose to taste like.

[Suggested Glassware: Pilsner Glass]
The pour was a clear golden yellow with an average (1-2 finger) white fizzy head that was mostly diminishing with poor spotty lacing.
The aroma was lightly sweet with a light grain malt, floral and grassy hops and a sweaty yeast and had notes of caramel, honey, a slight fruity ester (apple I believe) and a mild medicinal scent.
The taste was lightly sweet and very malty with light hints of caramel and honey from the start, and then had a mild taste of hops slowly work in to the mix with the finish having a mild fruity alcohol presence towards the end. The flavor hung on for an average time proceeding the swallow, with a slight alcohol sweetness and a more pronounced hoppy grain flavor that was left to linger on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was a bit beyond light in body with a light syrupy texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this was a somewhat sweet fruity brew that had a good hop and grain taste along with a bold alcohol presence. Basically this was a tasty Pilsner with a kick...

A - Pours a color similar to apple juice. Slight white foam does not retain. Minimal lacing.
S - Smell is of light malts, honey, and earthy spices.
T - Flavor has a vibe of spice, sweet honey, and exotic grains. Actually I was a bit surprised about the complextiy of this one.
M - Good drinking beer to pair with food. Light enough to be sessionable.
O - I'd try this again. Who knew Sri Lanka made a decent beer.

Strong, malty aroma has a sweet, fruity overtone and a hint of honey. It pours a lovely clear amber with a fairly thick white head. Sweet, malty flavor is almost like a cider, but has a good alcohol bite and just a hint of hops. Smooth texture has firm body but lacks fizz. Overall, a nice robust pilsner.
