Huge thanks to Mark Nolan for this one. One of the rare ones I had always wanted to try.
Pours a nice light yellowish golden with a white head. Head is fizzy and quick to disappear.
Wonderful funky earthy aromas. Lot's of barnyard. Horse blanket and hay with light summer fruits.
Tasty as hell. Same earthy notes as I picked up in the nose. Horse blanket and hay. Mildly citric with a bit of acidic sting. Subtle grapes with notes of leather and a touch of wood.
Medium in body, light zippy carbonation damn damn enjoyable.

lantern corps beer summit 2010 - day 2, oct 9/2010. xmarcnolanx contributed this one. thanks marc!
750ml corked and capped bottle. this one is apparently an unblended lambic aged 2 years in a white wine barrel from Nuits-Saint-Georges in Bourgogne.
pours slighly hazy dark gold. no head or lace.
aroma is great. at first glance it reminds me of the don quixote, but a bit more vinous. fruity and lemony. earthy and woody. malt vinegar. dark fruit. bit of feet.
taste is great. much like the aroma, but with way less feet. lemon. cider and malt vinegar, but pretty balanced. horse blanket and leather. earthy and woody. nice vinous character. fruity. bit of dark fruit. better depth and more restrained acidity than in don quixote.
mouthfeel is great. just over medium body with a super dry finish. medium carbonation level.
drinkability is great. great depth and balance. well balanced acidity.
