Bottled in September, 2011, from the 2009 vintage. Poured into a tulip.

A: The same color as a red ruby from Zelda with a scrumptiously pinkish white head. Minimal lacing, but who cares, it's fucking beautiful.

S: Acidic strawberries and cherries, slight funkiness, hints of woodland aromas. Smells like a lambic on steroids. Way more potent smelling than any other lambic, but not in an offensive way.

T: Sour fruits with cherries being the most dominant flavor. This is definitely sour, but not overly sour. Compared to Cantillon Rosé De Gambrinus (the only other Cantillon I've ever tried) it's less sour. Flavors are strong, but not so strong that you have to brace yourself for each sip.

M: Sour, low carbonation, very full for a lambic.

O: Wow, this is fantastic stuff. I'd drink the hell out of this if I could find it on a regular basis. Definitely a whale worthy of it's fame. Definitely my favorite sour yet.

750mL from some place in Portland long before Cantillon was difficult to find. 2007 sticker date/2009 bottling date.

A: Pours a deep plum with a light pink head. Sits pretty in the glass - if you were to show this to someone they might call it a chick beer. Poor ignorant bastards.

N: Lots of ripe sour cherries, oak, some vinegar and glue. Wine grape and raspberry jame in here. Some straw and lemon zest.

T: Cherry dominant. Rounded sourness with a touch of fruity sweetness. Has a wonderful depth of oak and fruits.

M: Sharply carbonated with a light, manageable body. I love how the Belgians are able to get such character into such a drinkable beer.

O: Tasty and it seems like it's balanced out the fruit and the funk at this point. Delicious. Need more.
