750mL bottle poured into a cervoise. Bottled Dec 24, 2008
A - Slightly hazy pale straw-gold with a ring of white lace and low carbonation.
S - Crusty baguette, flint, a hint of cheese, musty cider.
T - Earthy and very tart - strong lactic acidity. Underlying the sourness is a dry, bready character. Swirling knocks out some of the carbonation and opens up the beer a bit more, allowing some fruit to shine through, including lemon and cidery apple. I don't think I would have guessed the grape varietal from the taste though. In the context of this beer it tastes more like a white Loire. While I prefer a kriek, Vigneronne is quite nice.
M - Light-medium body, delicate carbonation - although better a bit flat, in my opinion.
D - Certainly not a boring beer. It seems to get better with every sip. Recommended.

Enjoyed at Brouwer's Sour Fest. Served in a snifter.
I'll have to apologize in advance for any verbosity and poetic musings. This was my first taste of anything from Cantillon.
Color of unfiltered apple juice, with a small, pure white head. Smells like melted rubber in a wet basement. Tastes incredibly complex--I might have to say a wine snob's beer if that makes sense--lots of layers here: dark fruit, red wine, a little barnyard funk, with a slight hop flavor here and there. Very drinkable. Strong harmony of flavors lingers before fading off the tongue, like an orchestra's perfect decrescendo. Alright, enough bullshit; this was just a great beer.

Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a tulip.
Ap: Pours a yellowis gold color and leaves very little white, fizzy head.
Ar: grapes, some funk and some sour.
Taste: Matches the scent - grapes, funk, sour with some wood and some white wine quality, with a wood finish. Very balanced.
Mouth-feel: Medium to high carbination. light, but not thin.
Overall: Well Balanced and pleasing beer. Very much like drinking a nice white wine with carbonation.

Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a stemmed tulip. This was bottled in November 2011 so it has about a year and a half of age on it, as of this review.
Appearance: Pours a nice honey color and leaves very little white, fizzy head - less than a finger.
Smell: White grapes, green apple, some funk - decent amount of sour but not overbearing by any means - very light and balanced.
Taste: Matches the scent - white grapes, funk, sour green apple, oak - definitely has a white wine quality to it. There is a nice oaky finish. This one has the perfect amount of sour to it and is delicious - just the right balances.
Mouth-feel: Exceedingly smooth, medium carbonation to it, on the lighter side of a medium body.
Overall: I was very impressed with this lambic - I think 1.5 years in the bottle has done it well. This is very well balanced and the muscat grapes definitely give this one some delicious flavors. I could drink a lot of this stuff!

750ml bottled on November 23rd 2012. Served in a Russian River stemmed glass
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden blonde color with 1 finger head which dissipated quickly to a white collar.
Smell: Musty, lemon, funk, wood, white grape, with just a tiny hint of fruity sweetness.
Taste: Medium tartness upfront is countered nicely with a slight white grape sweetness. I'm also getting, some funk, lemon acidity, oak, green apple, and some lactic character. The grapes are much more noticeable on the palate than in the aroma.
Mouthfeel: Light, crisp and refreshing. Medium carbonation. Sourness isn't intense or mouth puckering. Highly drinkable
Overall: I got this at the same time as a bottle of the Saint Lamvinus. I had very high expectations for the St. Lam, and while both were great, I actually ended up liking this a bit better. If you're a fan of the style, this is definitely worth seeking out.
