Appearance: Deep gold brew with a white head. Decent carbonation flow.
Smell: Clean malt with minor hop presence.
Taste: Solid malt character with a good hop backup.
Mouthfeel: Light-medium body. Finishes clean.
Drinkablity: A solid choice at Moose's Tooth. It does an excellent job washing down their pizza.

Draft at Moose’s Tooth
Slightly hazy, minimal off white head, malt and slight hops on the nose. Huge bitterness and bit green. Great example of an ESB!

I thought I wouldn't like this but I found it interesting and like that it challenged my palate. I'm a malt fan right now and that's there while it wasn't as bitter as I was expecting.

Still in search of this beers ABV.
Pours a clear orange color. Smell is mostly citrus hops, but some malt is apparent. The taste is mellow hops, but citrusy and bitter enough to be the forefront of the brew, the most extravagant aspect of the beer was the grapefruit aftertaste.
Gotta love the grapefruit bitter mix!

On tap at the pub, Moonflower ESB is chill-hazed burnt orange with a wispy white head that leaves scattered lace.
Smell is sweet, with citrus notes, mostly lime.
Taste is weird, with an off-putting soapiness to the hops. A nice sweetness from quality malt, with light fruity esters, citrus and apricot, save it from complete failure.
Mouthfeel is crisp, with a medium-light body.
Drinkability is not good, the soapy hops really killed it.

a- deep tawny gold with a thicker head- almost nitro-like consistency
s- HOPS with a bit of the malt coming through in the back
t- OK...not anywhere near as bitter as the smell would have suggested, and where did the malt go?
m-average
d-meh...this is drinkable for sure, but not something I could get excited about.

Moonflower is good beer, but is not quite accurate to style. A bit too hoppy as most american made ESB's tend to be. Pours a clear orange color with a fizzy white head that retains pretty well. Smell is mostly citrus hops, but some malt is apparent. The taste is mellow hops, but citrusy and bitter enough to be the forefront of the brew. Malt presence is here, but nowhere near what it should be for the style. Mouthfeel is on the thin side of the equation and is a bit too carbonated. Drinkability is quite good, very sessionable. This is a great flavored smooth beer, but just is a bit outside of the style. If your looking for a more accurate english bitter/pale, look to urban wilderness from sleeping lady.

dark hazey amber off the tap, with a finger thick head and a rather thick lace. smells like a mild IPA, almost like big hop from east end, but not quite as inviting. all the bitter bite is in the beginning of the taste, the finish more smooth and malty. crisp and grainy beginning of the feel of it, which fades to a clean ending. this is a pounder of an ESB, downs like water. pretty good though.
