poured a orangeish yellow color with minimal head. the smell was alchoal and oranges. the taste was nice sweet alshoal that gets sweater as it warms. i taste oranges and a honey sweetness, and a tang of corrander, like a sweet and sour sause. verry thick and yeasty, this is like a fine wine or liquid breed. their is a wave of dryness in the final flavor. all and all not a bad beer but one is enough for me

Poured from 22 oz bottle into Maudite tulip glass.
Gold color with small head.
Aroma of sweet malts, coriander, citrus zest, earthy notes & bubblegum.
Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors of sweet malts, caramel, cactus juice or something a little funky, slight alcohol. Tasty and easy enough to drink, but missing some of the malt body and esters that most Belgian tripels provide.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

A nice golden orange amber body, but a bit cloudy and hazy. Head forms off white with some creamy retention, rises about three fingers and settles to a thin puck. Little rising carbonation that's hard to see.

Bit of a muted nose, and a wine like sense. Slightly citrus but with not much malt sweetness. Clean but sensing a little thickness perhaps coming, with a little bit of sweet bready taste perhaps.

Palate fills nicely but with a little bit of muted sense. Sweetness of malts and a little bit of Belgian sensing sugars come out a bit on the swallow with some bread. A little vinous sourness mixing in with a fruity character, but doesn't come out very distinctly. Good carbonation that doesn't detract, with maybe a bare hint of sour orange.

Overall it's a solid well made tripel, but it's unfortunately not that memorable for me to desire again.

A: Pours a slightly hazy orange with half a finger of white head that fades into a sudsy ring with no lacing.

S: Belgian spices, candy sugar, bubblegum, a bit of lavender . . . not much else going on, but pleasant enough.

T: Belgian spices here as well with some candy sugar and bubblegum flavors. Light fruits are slightly present towards the finish with just a little bready flavor.

M: Medium-light body with medium carbonation, this beer avoids being too thick and sweet or watery. It could use some more carbonation, though.

O: Not a bad tripel overall, but a bit simplistic and undercarbonated. Still, it's nice enough.

22 ounce bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Slight gusher upon opening, but not bad. Pours a lightly cloudy deep orange amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lasts. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of peach, pear, orange peel, apple, clove, coriander, pepper, bread, honey, herbal, and earthy yeast spiciness. Very nice aromas with good balance, strength, and complexity of fruity and spicy esters; quite a bit more peppery than I expected. Taste of pear, apple, orange peel, peach, coriander, clove, bread, honey, pepper, herbal, and earthy yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, coriander, clove, bread, honey, pepper, herbal, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy flavors; with a great balance between sweetness/spiciness; and zero cloying sweetness present after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly slick and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice tripel! Great balance of fruity/spicy flavors with good complexity; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

The smell was ever so slightly skunky, meaning the bottle I picked up may have been an old batch. There is no brewed-on date on the label so I can't tell how old it was. But some of those sulfur-rich methyls and butenes were definitely starting to show through in the nose. Not so much in the flavor though, so I think I can at least offer a tentative opinion. That said, not bad! If I train myself to ignore the sulfur notes, I can tell this is a pretty good beer. Heavy on the malts and yeast with apricot notes. Dry with just enough sweetness to mask the alcohol. Hops are almost non-existent. Very low bitterness and a clean finish. Nice! I recommend it. And the overtly sexist label is fun too. I mean how many beers do you come across labels with women riding flying reindeer and flinging their underwear off? Not many! :D

A: Medium brown color, with a bit of haze. A nice white foamy head.

S: A bit of orange and just hint of spice. A bit of breadiness in the aroma as well

T: Again orange and a bit of spice. A nice breadiness, a bit of yeast.

M: A good medium body and a bit of chewiness, a bit more than I expected from it.

O: A very drinkable Tripel. A bit more body than I was expecting. The orange and coriander work very well here. Year round is definitely a plus. Definitely keeping a bottle of this around.

a murky orange/copper in color, a slight amount of head with otherwise no visible carbonation. smells of mango, peaches, carrots.. slight pepper spice in the finish. very weird smelling beer. the flavor is the same as the aroma, kind of reminds me of some of my son's baby foods. a hint of orange citrus with a pepper kick. low carbonation, medium body.. the alcohol warmth is quite present.

not sure if this one went bad with age, but i'm just not that impressed. flavor/aroma seems off.. again almost like my kid's baby food.

22oz bottles flown in straight from Anchorage. Pays to have friends in Alaska;)

I had to use a nonic glass since that's all we had available to us at the time. This beer pours a hazed golden orange with two fingers of white cap that fizzles down to a thin film which stays for most of the glass. Scant lace present.

The nose is mostly light fruity orange citrus. A hint of bubble gum, yeast rolls, and coriander lingers along with some grassy floral hops.

Strong citrus fruits up front with the spice of coriander in the middle and some banana and hop zing on the finish. More hoppy than most I've had in the style. I like it.

Medium body enhanced by appropriate carbonation without being prickly as I find in some triples.

Definitely would like to have more of this beer. Fire up the airplane, William!

I can’t ask for this with a straight face. But joke name aside the beer itself is worth seeking out.
This pours a light cloudy golden with tight foam. It has an inviting aroma of clove and yeasty esters along with a bit of floral clove and vanilla. There’s a crisp, sweet and floral flavor on this. The clove and coriander notes come across as well as a citrusy-floral taste. Nice finish. Really tasty!

A lovely golden amber with a tight off white head that has good retention and leaves some good lacing on the glass. Beer stays covered as I drink. Color and clarity are exceptional. A gentle stream of bubbles rise up as it sits. Lots of good things in the nose. Banana and soft, warm, yeasty bakery bread. Sweet Belgian candi notes cover the light alcohol and drape it in a light peppery spiciness. Some light apple and pear fruitiness. The Spice blend of coriander and Curacao. Taste is solid and highly drinkable. A pale malt front gives a smooth smooth introduction to to the Belgian way. Light and malty with a gently sweet doughyness. Some of the coriander, orange, and peppery bitterness flex and flow into a light bitterness. This is a dry, quenching finish and swallow. Bitterness is low but still clean. Feel is smoothly carbonated and nicely weighted. Just enough to respect, light enough to go down too fast. Drinkability is quite high for a tripel. Carbonation is right in the pocket, enough to make foods creamy on the tongue with enough restraint to make for a quaffable high abv brew. I enjoyed it with cold sesame noodles and it was excellent. This is a super take on the style. The wit components add a great deal of intrigue and interest as you enjoy this well crafted brew.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a clear medium golden amber. Thin white head that quickly dissipated to a ring around the glass, no lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, orange and stone fruit, toffee. Flavor follows aroma, with caramel malt, orange and stone fruit, coriander and Belgian yeast. Finishes slightly dry with citrus and Belgian spices. Medium bodied. Pretty much nails the traditional tripel flavors, perhaps not quite as dry and spiced as Belgian ones. A pleasant tripel that does not stand out from the pack. Lost some points for low carbonation for looks and mouth feel, but may be an anomalous low carb bottle; Midnight Sun is usually good in this department.
