A - Served a cloudy golden-orange color with a thin layer of frothy white head. The head fades fairly quickly leaving behind some light lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of sourness, sweet light fruit, some green apple, some sweet malt and grain, and a bit of oak.
T - Starts off with some sourness and tartness with some sweet malt and oak. Through the middle some more tartness comes through with some green apple, some more oak, and a bit of yeast. The finish is a mix of sour and tartness with some sweet malt and oak that linger.
M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a nice tart finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nicely balanced. It is fairly light bodied but does not sacrifice in flavor at all.

On tap poured into a snifter at The Bistro, reviewing from notes. Beer poured a pale yellow color with a slight bit of haze. Thin off white collar with a few bubbles here and there.
Nose was pretty good, white wine vinegar sharpness with some green apples, pears, lemon sweetness. A touch of earthy funkiness, like disturbed wet soil with fertilizer and grass.
Taste was a bit tame, with the fruitiness staying put, but the acidity could have been a little higher. Good fruitiness though, with the sweeter lemon, apple and ripe pear, but only a touch of vinegar tang. The earthy funk shows up at the back of the tongue. Finish is medium to dry with light fruitiness.
Light body with some zesty carbonation. Refreshing and a decent change of pace from all the higher abv beers I was drinking.

Labeled a belgian blonde ale, but I don't think that's available here. A blonde and bretty appearance, could almost be mistaken for a legit hefe. Nice eggshell white head. Aroma was brett chunky, but just wanted more of the merlot barrel to come out in the aroma.
Very nice taste, up there with Sanctification, if not quite even with it. Very zesty, tart and plenty of sour zing to it. Easy enough to drink, plenty enjoyable. If anything, seemed to be in a white zin or chardonnay barrel moreso than merlot. Had that edge of white and light wine more than merlot. Plenty astringent. Would recommend.
Drank at Bistro's 6th annual barrel fest.
