On tap at The Bistro for west coast barrel aged beerfest poured into a tulip glass. Poured a bright orange with an initial finger of pure white fluffy head. Plenty of carbonation streaming from the bottom of my glass, helping maintain the head for a good 10 minutes.
Nose was exceptional. Sour funk, stone fruits (peaches and apricots), tropical fruits (mango, passion fruit), and a light malt presence. Well balanced sweetness from the fruit against a very good sourness.
Taste was exactly as the nose predicted, fruity sweetness initially, peaches and mango dominating at first, then quickly into a good puckering sour from acidity. Finishes with a pleasant tartness that doesn't overpower your taste buds on your tongue, lingering for only a minute or two.
Light bodied and decently carbonated that finished dry and tart. Very drinkable, forcing me to use two taster tickets to make sure I'm really tasting what I tasted. Very well done wild ale.
