Whole Foods Torrance is the little brother to Whole Foods El Segundo. Good for me this place is close to my house.
The beer selection here is excellent. You can pick up a great 6 pack or a great hard to find bottle here any time.
They also have beer tastings on Sundays, although not too many people typically show up. This is where I was exposed to Alpine beer and I now believe no better brewery makes a set of IPAs better than they do.
Another bonus is that they have an excellent selection of beer glasses. I picked up a Lost Abbey tulip here, which is my favorite glass, for half the price it sells for at the brewery.

Whole Foods is a grocery store. Therefore, this isn't a beer oriented place. There is a decent selection of beer here, though it is small.
The good news is, that if you do eat healthy then this would be a convenient spot to pick up some beer along the way. The wine selection is decent, too. I gave it a 4.0 for selection, because as far as grocerie and health food stores are concerned, their selection is top notch. Plus, every once in awhile I'll see something in their that catches my eye, whether it's a beer on sale at a great price, or something extra special.
I should add that this is a great one stop place to pick up items to plunge your palate into. It's got a wonderful deli, the best selection of cheese and sausage, freshly blended fruit beverages, a good wine selection, and a good selection of beer. If you're wanting to have a gourmand's evening at home, this is definitely a must go place.
