The beer is dark brown with a reddish tone, a light beige foam that leaves quite some lacing.

It has a weak smell, some grassy tones, a bit of dusty stable.

The taste is first sweet, raisins and brown sugar, then some quick receding bitterness. The alcohol is noticeable.

A good carbonation and mouth-feel - but not a favorite.

A: Dark brown with a red tone. The head is white medium large and creamy. Some lacings.

S: SWEET malt, dark dried fruit with some bitterness. A little chocolate in it as well.

T: Light roasted sweet malt. Obvious dark dried fruit. Some coffee as well, especially in the end of each sip.

M: The aftertaste is short with small bitterness and sweetness. Medium body and rich carbonated. Alcoholic.

D: Uninteresting and plain. Not my first choice to go with the swedish x-mas-food (which is what it is maid to suit).

The colour is pale brown-red with a tint of orange; the foam is pale beige-orange, three fingers thick, and it dissolves quite slowly.

The smell got notes of alcohol, artificial hops, marzipan, cherry jam, Chinese cherry-flavoured tea and some touches of soap, diacetyl and band-aid. Quite incoherent, one might say.

The carbonation is mild with a creamy mouthfeel.

The taste is quite soft and rather sweet with a notable body. The bitterness is weak with a metallic touch. There are notes of fruit (sweet cherries). I could also trace a flavour of wheat flour, characteristic for those strong lager beers.

I found the aftertaste quite complex with a medium strong bitterness and notes of alcohol, ginger, chocolate, cherries, brown sugar and malt. It isn’t very long lasting, though.

A strong Christmas beer, OK but I cannot really see the point.
