Notes:
Bozone Select is the flagship offering from Bozeman Brewing Company. A light amber ale that has a medium malt body gently balanced by a hint of hops for a clean, refreshing finish. Dry hopped with Cascade hops for a pleasant aroma. Made with Pale, Crystal & Vienna malts.

I have had this twice, the first time it tasted like laundry detergent, sent it back and got something else. Several weeks later I tried it again at the same place and was a lot better. (must have been bad dish washing) Anyway it is just like any pale ale I brew at home, nothing special to write about, but hope to see more from these folks, though they seem to be keeping a low profile. Somewhat rich in malt flavor with a cascade hop aftertaste. (and an extremely hop tasting "burp", which reminds me of when I tried sucking on a hop cone (not as pleasant as you would hope)

Appearance- copper colored with a silky light tan finger head. Plenty of carbonation swirling
Smell- pale malt notes with slight earthy hop character
Taste- initial sweetness of light caramel and definite toffee, middle tongue with some earthiness and slight hop oils, hint of some light fruits, finishes with a crisp but sweet hang-on
Mouthfeel- light/medium bodied, smooth
Overall- I had this from a tap and it was noticeably better, but I'll take this in a can on any hike

12oz can received from my good friend and coworker Boisebeerlover (Matt hasn't checked in on BA in a looong time). This can was a gift to him from a friend and he turned it over to me.. Thanks Matt and Matt's friend :-)
Poured into my small CC goblet... beautiful clear orange brew.. decent head and lacing... pretty for sure.
Good citrus hops in the nose... but the malts are the big players... caramel and good toast.. clean and very well balanced.
More malt heavy than many American Ambers.. the balance is what makes this one a winner... The hops are there, but seem in the background and allow the toast and light caramel to parade up front.. mild but fresh citrus on the finish.. bits of bitter hoppiness provide drinkability.
Body is medium for the style... carbonation seems a touch light.. still, this is a very approachable beer... very drinkable...
Honesty, I am surprised to see Bozeman Brewing canning... For the longest time, they were tap only and tearing it up. The cans are an expensive investment.... Props.. This brew is nearly perfect for the style and very fresh... It belongs on a raft... not in a Boise office midwinter.... I will be up in Montana this summer and will be looking for Bozone cans.

This American light amber ale has a light copper color and a great spicy hop presence somewhere between the usual amber and an American pale ale. There is a nice cloves/grassy finish to the brew with almost a peppery aftertaste. This is a great brew.
