Style | ABV
Czech Pilsener |  5.20% ABV

Availability: Spring. bottle (123), on-tap (22), growler (5)

Notes:
This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

Crystal-clear gold with an average white head. Odd aroma - like beets. Light grainy nose predominant. Taste is much better. Bready with some with some funky, slightly sour floral bitterness balancing. The taste is very solid - starts pretty normal - sunflower oil upfront with funky herbal light bitterness. The finish is very smooth and clean. Body is thick for a pilsner: feels more like an imperial. Lightly carbonated but crisp. Sessionable. I liked it a lot. Refreshing and light without being boring.

Pours a light, soapy, white head. A nice aroma of floral/spicy hops and sweet malt. A very light golden color; clear as can be. It starts off bitter, with a metallic twang. It builds into a medium bitterness, and then near the end, the biscuity malt shows through atop the floral hops. Lingering bitterness.

Not really my favorite Pilsner. There is just too much bitterness and too little hop to make it work for me; it's like hopping back asswards, almost.
Don't get me wrong, it's not bad....it's just not very good.

Into a pilsener:

A: clear golden colored body, streams of carbonation are seen rising, three finger white foamy head must last for at least a good five minutes, clingy spider web lacing

S: lightly hopped, slightly grassy, super light spice, cracker-ish corn

T: sweet and smooth through previously mentioned flavors, corn aftertaste, and a quick dry finish

M: light, crisp, carbonation seems to be right on for me, but hmmm.... is it lacking a bit on the carbonation for the style .... unsure

O: I say this is still a good pilsener that I would have again even if it seemed slightly under carbonated
