Style | ABV
Czech Pilsener |  5.20% ABV

Availability: Spring. bottle (121), on-tap (22), growler (5)

Notes:
This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

hopefully this beer won't have a financial meltdown during the tasting...

eyes...
snap crackle pop white head rises up one full finger of craggy-ness, clean and clear straw hue, steady stream o' carbonation rising from the bottom center of my DFH bubble glass, the head retreats quickly but does not completely dissapear, good looking, on point.

nose...
grassy with some floral notes, malt bread tone, some peaks of spice, well rounded.

taste etc...
clean, smooth and refreshing, a nice easy drinking brew. the hops have their place but are not aggressive, you get a slight honey/floral aftertaste, this would be great on a summer's day but tonight will suffice, this is as advertised, a really nice easy bohemian pils, it has just enough character to keep me interested but yet should not be off putting to a novice, the breadiness/sweet notes are just addictively tasty, this beer is gone in a flash. The mouthfeel has just enough body to make this stand out.

verdict?
I prefer their regular pils (a little more hopped up) but this is a really nice 'to the style' brew, I was afraid they were going to kill this with high alpha hops but no... this is just what it says it is and done well, tasty stuff.

Appearance - clear golden color with white head

Smell - grass, wheat, cracker,

taste - grass, wheat, cracker, spicy hops in the finish

mouthfeel - lighter end of medium bodied, crisp and clean going down, ample carbonation, lingering bitterness on the finish

Overall - this was a good production of a pilsener, great lawnmowing beer or good even for a BBQ

Price Point - $4.99/6pk 12 oz bottles

Overall, a pleasant suprise here. Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Sam Adams glass. Reasonable fluffy white head that lingered for a very short time (beer was extra cold). Had a great Pilsner aroma, my first thought was "good German beer". Taste was bright, and smooth with just the right lingering bittterness at the finish. Was a tad light on the carbonation, though. A good example of the style.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tall pilsner glass. Nice foamy head, but not especially thick. Enjoyable, easy drinking beer. Quite sessionable, yet nothing extraordinary. Crisp, clean and refreshing, but could be much better if the hops were a little bigger. True to type, but seems more like a PU of today than the old beloved style.
