On tap at Akkurat in Stockholm.

Dark clear honey colored ambery gold. Two finger head rising over the edge of the glass with good retention and some spotty lacing. Looks amazing.

Flowery, fruity hop nose. Apples and honey. Didn't get that much out of it but I'm a tad congested.

Follows the nose, but lots more complexity going on here. Very floral, some apple/pear/plum fruitiness, then some citrus and pine like hop resin. Clean bitterness in the back, doesn't slam you right away. Malts are negligent. Dry and even backdrop for the complex hop flavors.

Slick, creamy and near perfect mouthfeel. Not heavy on the carbonation, I could down this but I'm forcing myself to savor it. Very dangerously drinkable. Coats the mouth and really allows the complexity of the hops to shine.

Tried this across the pond, so it can't be too fresh but it's still great. A very sweet, floral and fruity DIPA. Not as bitter as most, but that's ok. Definitely hop dominated with lots of flavor. ABV is totally hidden. Fantastic IPA, right up my alley with the flavor profile.

Beer is a translucent light golden straw color. Pours a large white head with with good retention and moderate lacing. Smell hits first with an incredible smell of pine. Also get grapefruit, orange, resin, and a bit of bread.

Taste starts with a ton of pine and some resin, followed by grapefruit, orange, and lemon. Has a piney, grapefruit, lemon, bready, slighty floral, crisp finish. Mouthfeel is definitely on the light side for a DIPA, with above average carbonation. Normally I would want a heavier body for a DIPA, but this lighter body helps keep the intense piney-ness from being overwhelming, also making it a surprising refreshing 8.2% beer.

Southern Tier's 2XIPA pours golden in color with little head and not much lacing. The smell is pleasing, the taste is fantastic and the mouthfeel is subtle but good. I enjoyed this beer, but it was pricey. I'd have again, but only at a more reasonable price.
