Orange-gold with a thin and fine-bubbled layer of foam.

Aroma: a huge blast of hops. The first thing that came to mind was sticking my nose in a freshly opened packet of willamette pellets. Herbal, slightly spicy, also some citrus and pine in the background. Inexplicible hints of mangrove swamp.

Taste: An imperial What The Helles? Not really much like the parent style, it's more along the lines of Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner but with different ingredients. Hops are everywhere in the flavor profile with herbal, leafy, slightly peppery notes ahead of dry lemon and a touch of pine resin. Slightly biscuity malt doesn't jump out much, but this does have a distinct lager feel to it, with a quiet smoothness under all the hops.

Sweetness is fairly restrained, just enough to keep Krampus from being a mouth puckering, paint stripping, brain numbing hop bomb. (It's pretty close though.) A lager to vie with Unearthly's ale outlook.
