Was hesitant to try this one as the Jah Vah was super gross. I figured I would give this one a go.

A: Super dark. Looks very thick and the small bubbles take some time to rise. Good tan head.

S: Killer smell. Smells just like a creme brulee. Huge caramel and toffee notes. Subtle coffee and smoke notes. Cream, vanilla. Love it.

T: Caramel, toffee, vanilla. Quite overpowered by the sharp alcohol though which makes them hard to enjoy. Pretty nice though.

M: Sits pretty full bodied, that alcohol has a very sharp bite to it though which overpowers the lingering notes. Also a somewhat uncomplimentary lingering dull bitterness.

Overall this beer would be killer if that alcohol wasn't so dominating. There are great tastes notes and the beer stays true to what the name incites. After the alcohol dissipates there is a bitterness that seems to come from nowhere. The finish is so bad I have to knock it down to a 3.5. So much potential though...
