22oz bomber poured into a large snifter. This beer pours black as night. A nice sized two finger head cascades into existence- caramel in color. The head dissolves in approximately two minutes and leaves very minimal lacing.

The nose is really just chocolate. It smells great but appears to be a one trick pony - but it smells too damn good to knock it for that; lots and lots of melted milk chocolate

This damn thing tastes like a chocolate milk shake. Like the nose there is just a shit-ton of milk chocolate. The roasted malts and faint hops add a nice bitterness to make sure it is not quite as one-sided.

Exceptionally creamy and smooth like I would never have believed before trying it. The alcohol never rears its head in the nose or taste, merely in the lightheadedness that ensues with the completion of the bottle. This is the epitome of dessert beers; a dessert in itself.

bottle into tulip

appearance: solid black with 1 finger tan head

smell: loads of chocolate, milky chocolate, roasted malt, minty chocolate, amazing smell

taste: huge milk chocolate flavors, not very bitter, just milky creamy chocolatey goodness. Some mint chocolate comes through in the aftertaste, with notes of vanilla and very subtle espresso flavors balanced in.

mouthfeel: so thick and full bodied you may think you're drinking a milkshake....exceptional

overall: I will have to do a blind test with a Stone IRS to determine my favorite, but this is probably equal. Amazing milk chocolate flavors, this is easily the most chocolate dominant stout i've had, luckily Souther Tier is literally everywhere so I will be buying this many, many times again.

A- pours pitch black with a two-finger dark tan head that retains for about a minute after the pour, small patches of lace remain after settling

S- straight up chocolate! The aromas are reminiscent of liquid tootsie roll, melted chocolate bar, bakers cocoa. This without a doubt the most chocolate forward beer that I've ever smelled, it sets up nicely for the flavors

T- exactly as described, pure chocolate. Reminded of a chocolate tootsie pop and chocolate pudding cream pie, the finish has just enough hop bitterness to balance is out but finishes with a bitter-sweet chocolate linger

M- medium body with low carbonation, creamy mouthfeel transitions into a velvety finish with just a touch of warming alcohol at the end

O- this is the perfect dessert beer and a must try for chocolate lovers. This is seriously sweet chocolate perfection that I could drink after every meal. The best chocolate beer out there IMO.
