The bottle says "DOB 12/28/11" and also notes an ABV of 10%.
Thanks to my co-worker "R. Diddy" for gifting me this beer.

This beer looks a little viscous as I give it a nice strong pour. I am rewarded with a finger of rich brown head. The body is almost black. Lacing tries to cling for a second, but invariably falls down the glass into the beer.

Chocolate milk is the first impression, then a little malt and some booze slip into the nose to top it off.

Wow. A chocolate flavor in between chocolate milk and dark chocolate greets you first thing every sip. I get some dark roasted malt and booze at the very end.

This is a heavy bodied beer. The carbonation is present enough that it stings the tongue, but this baby is thick. This is not a sipper, and is likely more suited to chilly evenings than anything else. It coats the tongue rather evenly and uniformly.

750ml bottle served in a tulip glass.

A: Pours a brown to black color forming a medium bubbled tan head with low retention and lots of spotty lacings left in the glass

S: Strong smell of dark chocolate. Impressive. Vanilla, roasted malts, cofffe, earthy yeasts and some wood notes

T: Slightly sweet upfront. Again, very strong notes of dark chocolate. Roasted malts, vanilla, coffee, wood, brown bread, wood, earthy yeasts. End in mainly made of a mild roasted bitterness. A bit milky too

M: Creamy and heavy body. Low carbonation. Dark chocolate aftertaste

O: Excellent drinkability. Very smooth beer. A masterpiece
