Upon opening I am greeted with aromas of vanilla, nutmeg, and pumpkin. The beer pours a hazy orange with a brief soapy head. Pleasantly sweet and malty, with flavors of vanilla, nutmeg, pumpkin, along with the flavor of pie crust. It's as if southern tier liquefied a piece of pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream, and blended it harmoniously with a beer. One does not notice that it's 9%, and the 22oz format is not too much.

This is a tasty beer, although it is almost a dessert rather than a beer. Definitely worthy, a very good pumpkin beer.
