Poured a clear yellowish-amber. Reasonable head that fades quickly.
Aromas of buttered popcorn, bare hints of spice. That's it.
Flavor is very similar to the aroma. Lots of buttered popcorn but the spice comes through a bit more. Some cinnamon, clove and ginger.
Mouthfeel is fine. Doesn't coat the palate too much. Good carbonation.
Got a healthy taster of this and, quite honestly, that's all I need. I think I would have a hard time getting through a full pint of this. Especially at 9%.
Overall, not impressed given the hype everyone lauds over this. If it tasted like pumpkin instead of popcorn, I would've liked it better. DFH Punkin, Weyerbacher Imp. Pumpkin and Terrapin Pumpkinfest blow this beer out of the water.
