a : This beer is a rich, dark, red color, very clear. Generated a nice 1 inch head, white, with nice lacing. I am exepcting to be able to see this after every drink.
s : Smells of raisens and I can smell a bit of the alcohol in the beer. Second sniff reveals hoppiness in the beer.
t : First sip reminds me of a malty coffee (mocha), quite bitter. A larger drink and I can taste the maltiness and the raisen that I smelled earlier. (The lacing does stick to the side of the glass nicely). I am also notice a slight acidity. I only noticed this when I let the beer sit on my tongue for a bit.
m : Old Man coats my mouth nicely, even after I have swallowed and began typing this I can still taste the beer and feel it in my mouth. This is really nice actually. It makes me want to take another drink.
d : This beer is a little heavy to drink more than a couple, but I would enjoy the couple that I did drink.

This beer doesn't leave any part of my tongue on the sidelines. Although this is my first "Old Ale" styled beer, I must say that I think that it very well balance. There is a rich maltiness with a hit of dark fruits followed by a bitterness when you swallow which leaves your mouth wanting more.

L- Clear amber topped with a thin off white head. Head fades slowly to a ring and leaves a bit of spotty lace on the glass.

S- Caramel, spice, candied fruit, and floral hops notes. The nose on this one is subtle.

T- Malty notes at first, caramel and spice right away. Hints of sweet candied fruit, raisin and a floral hop note balance out the malt and lead to a dry finish. The finish is slightly bitter with hops notes and a slight warming alcohol effect.

M- Medium in body and carbonation,

O- Nice take on the style, the 7.0% ABV is well hidden and this one represents the style well.
