Pours a very pale straw colour, very little head and almost no retention. Important here to note this is from a bottle, I've had better experiences with this beer on tap.

Smell is grainy/grassy and some skunkiness as well.

Smooth tasting, medium body, medium carbonation, nice overall mouthfeel and very drinkable. Lots of flavour, doesn't taste like a light lager.

The fact that it's organic doesn't matter to me. What I do like is it's a fairly widely available beer that most people who aren't craft beer drinkers can still agree on. Great for sharing a pitcher with friends.

Pours a sot fluffy white head, decent retention. Colour is a light yellow gold colour. Clear bottle. Leaves some lacing.

Smell has barley malt, some citrus, pretty crisp and cerial-ly. Pretty unremarkable, smells like molson.

Taste is somewhat grainey, mostly malt driven, some bready malts come later with a touch of sweetness, not much hop character, it finishes quite smooth, dry, with a crisp graininess.

Mouthfeel has light body, crisp carbonation. Definitely light, a bit thin but not watery, leaves a sort of malty cracker chalky coating. Sessionable and refreshing when cold. Has a bit of substance so not all bad.

Far from amazing, a half-decent lager that I would reach for before others at a party or the dock, simply because it doesn't taste like water. Still a lot to wish for tho, middle of the road, but nice for summer session beer.

Appearance: Mostly translucent straw color with lots of effervescence and a very thin white head.

Aroma: A mix of crystal/pilsen malt and a little bit of corn sweetness. Not much to this aroma.

Taste: It definitely fits in that Euro Pale Lager style. Lots of real malt flavor and sort of a wet grass and biscuit taste that you get with others of the style. It's a pretty sweet palate because of the malts but there is a bit of hop presence to help balance that. There's not really any bitterness but the hops add a nice crispness to the palate and the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with lighter carbonation than you'd expect given the bubbly appearance. Real easy drinking beer.

Final Thoughts: This beer is as advertised; a micro-brewed lager. They seem to have followed common sense and left out any adjuncts. There are some real nice flavors in this one that stay true to the style. While it isn't more that just a slightly above average beer, it's still a far cry from the macro-lagers that elude all conventional wisdom and fly off the shelves.

Appearance- Pours a very bubbly straw gold with a finger and a half of fizzy white head.

Smell- Tart apples, grass, straw, light grains

Taste- The taste is strongly led by the grains and grass flavours, which carries through into the finish, and is then followed by a touch of apple.

Mouthfeel- Light bodied with moderate to heavy carbonation. Crisp and dry finish.

Overall- A simple Euro Pale Lager by Mill Street. The flavours are not complex, nor should they be. This brew is kept clean and simple, making it a refreshing summer session brew.

Bottle into pint.

A- Super clear yellow pour with a two finger soapy white head. Lacing is spotty.

S- Grass and slight earthy hops. Slightly sweet.

T- Sweet with a nice grassy taste. There is a touch of biscuit. There is a bit fruit skin (apple or pear)

M- Light bodied, refreshing with good carbonation.

O- Refreshing and satisfying, everything you need in a light lager.

I have had this hundreds of times and finally got around to reviewing it.

473 ml can poured in to pint glass.

A - Pale yellow with two fingers of bubbly white head that had good retention.

S - Bready malts, cereal, a noticeable sweetness.

T - Some sweetness up front. Bready/grainy malts with a very slight hop profile.

M - Light body. Smooth. Moderate carbonation.

O - A very easy drinking beer and a a decent tasting beer at 4.2%.

Poured from the clear (bah!) bottle into a pint glass. Two finger bubbly white head on a clear light amber. Good head retention. Some minor lacing.

Grainy, grassy malt smells. Mild but smooth flavour up front. Toasty cereals bring up the rear.

Mouthfeel is medium light and smooth. Not bad at all. Clean taste and well balanced. Too bad about the clear bottle.

Poor example of a pilsner, surprised how this beer makes it out of thebrewery. Lots of off flavours, both in the nose and aroma. Clarity is not good either, unless they are shooting for a kellerbier which this does not taste close to.

I enjoy other mill st beers but this one is sub par. It could be a great beer but needs more attention in the brewhaus.

A: Pours a clear golden body with three fingers of white fluffy head. Head retention is great and leaves full lacing.

S: Straw grains, some skunkiness - I'd say it's just bad, but I've had this on many occasions and it's been the same.

T: Light notes of straw grains and some metallic flavours.

M: Light bodied with medium-high carbonation. Smooth creamy texture with a sparkling metallic aftertaste.

O: Another brew from Mill street that is below par of what they should be selling. Wouldn't have it again.

341mL clear (boo-urns) bottle with no date. Poured into mug. Part of mixed-six pack that is currently available at the better-stocked NSLCs (Bayers Lake in this case).

Pours a typical bright, clear yellow, fizzy, foamy white head that slowly shrinks, then disappears. Little carbonation visible.

Mild grain, wheat, sweet aroma.

Taste is a light general maltiness...honey-like sweetness, a bit of breadiness, little bit of balancing hop bitterness. Hard to pin down a specific flavour here.

Light, a bit slick, low carbonation, but clean overall.

This beer is fine overall, nothing I find particularly interesting or flavourful. Throw it in the "good craft alternative at crappy aal-happy bars".

Clear golden colour with no head. Very disappointing head and head retention.

Light grainy malt aroma with some spicy noble hops. Very light aroma.

Slightly sweet malt with some mild herbal noble hops. A little dull and sweet.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Good.

An okay but ultimately dull lager. The flavours aren’t crisp enough and the slightly sweet malt kills everything.

pours a light clear golden/yellow colour with an okay amount of foamy/bubbly head.

smell had lots of malt, wheat/bread, and was grainy.

taste was similar to the smell - also smooth, with medium carbonation and pretty good drinkability.

overall it was better than i was expecting - not spectacular but certainly enjoyable.

Appearance – Clear yellow colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is a below average amount of carbonation showing and there is some faint lacing. The head lasted for around 3 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Grains, corn, malts, hops

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an average amount of carbonation. I can taste malts mixed with corn and grains. There is also a light amount of hops and a touch of caramel sweetness. The beer finishes with a malty and grainy aftertaste with a bit of lingering caramel sweetness.

Overall – Definitely better than the countless macro lagers on the market. I could easily drink a lot of this stuff on a camping trip or any activity outdoors.

This beer is pretty much a standard yellow lager. There is very little aroma, and what there is is vaguely bready and sweet with zero hops presence. The taste is sweet and bready, with very little bitterness, and that's about all. It may be micro-brewed and organic, but flavour-wise it tastes like a mass-produced factory beer. There is nothing bad about it, it's just not that good; and it certainly isn't worth paying any extra money for.

A - poured a creamy pillowy two finger head that dissipated to a half inch collar - pale crystal straw yellow - with fine lacing

S - sweet funky bready malt with some floral notes

T - dry sour malt not as strong as the nose with a slightly bitter aftertaste - some metal - some funk with a somewhat unbalanced sweetness

M - light body, creamy, sour and a little bitter - lightly carbonated

O - this sat in my fridge for a few weeks after I received it from my wife in a mixer pack - it is not my style and I had no real interest in trying it so I was surpised when I found it drinkable although I would never pass up an average ale instead of it.

Appearance: It has a nice pale golden colour to it. It has a nice white head that dies down quite fast and has some lacing.

Smell: The aromas give out hints of corn with some grainy and grassy notes.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a sweet grainy malt taste to it with a slight grassy hoppy crisp finish to it.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a nice clean balance.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavours and aromas. It's great for a warm summer day.

New 473 mL cans. Was never a big fan of this one in bottles.

Pours a very clear, bright golden colour with a large, but fleeting head that settles as a moldy-looking film and leaves moderate lace. I swear it has more colour than in the bottle.

Freshwater, grains, honey-sweetened roasted malts and a faint fruitiness make up the aroma. Alcohol smell comes through as it warms.

Crisp and mild taste. Well-balanced, but slightly sweet malt. A sort of white wine grape taste provides a dryness and slight sourness. A toasty flavour comes out in the finish.

Mouthfeel is on the thin side with a light-medium carbonation. The long-lasting collar provides a smooth creaminess. Slight syrupy feeling on the back of the tongue. Bit of lingering sourness.

This is either a different recipe or benefits from not being packaged in clear bottles, but in my opinion this is a much more drinkable, aromatic, flavourful, smooth experience with the can. Good thing, a 12 cost me $31.

341ml bottle poured into a 16oz pint glass.

A - Pours with one finger of fizzy white head. Bright straw yellow; transparent. Head fizzles down to a small cap. Some slight lacing.

S - Grainy malt and corn. And something in there I can't quite pick out, but I don't like it...

T - The flavor opens up with strong grainy malt, and that's about it. Could really benefit from some honey or citrus or something, this flavor is just too flat and boring for my liking.

M - Mouth-feel is what you'd expect from a lager. Light-bodied with medium carbonation.

D - Although I didn't expect to enjoy this all that much, and didn't, I must say kudos to Mill Street for brewing this beer organically. Just not really my thing.

This came in a sampler pack, and frankly if it hadn't I'm not sure I would ever try this - not that I think it will be awful or anything, it just sounds a little gimmicky.

Pours a pale straw colour with a thin white head that fades to patches of bubbles on the surface rather quickly. Carbonation looks rather light. Smell is sweet with maybe some grass; very nondescript.

First thought: wow, this beer has almost no flavours at all. There is a slight grainy malt sweetness followed by a slight grassy note. Basically, it's the same as the smell, except on your tongue instead of in your nose. I did not really get any corn or adjunct taste-vibes from this; then again I didn't detect a lot of any flavours. Mouthfeel is very light, and the carbonation moderate to low giving it a very smooth and drinkable feel. There is no aftertaste to speak of.

This is a highly unimpressive beer. Maybe if they just knocked off one-fifth of a percentage ABV and called it their Organic Light Lager, it would score considerably higher, but for a pale lager, this has almost nothing to offer besides its inoffensiveness. It is potentially sessionable, but unless you like the taste of diluted beer, why bother?

Straw golden apperance with thin head that disappears quickly. Has a generic sweet corn smell, nothing significant.

Taste is similar to the smell, sweet corn with grassy hops. Picked up some maltiness, but the overall the taste is light. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Aftertaste is dye with some bitterness.

This beer is nothing special overall, except the gimmick of being organic. It is refreshing though, only try if your into light beers.

A - Frothy white head of 3 fingers that is fading slowly, but it's going. Pale golden sort of colour with a good amount of carbonation. A good amount of lacing is left behind. Bright.

S - Very faint. VERY faint. Some honey, grainy corn-like aromas, and floral notes I guess but I have to dig for that.

T - Not too terrible for the style. Quite floral and alot less grainy than most. Sweet from that grainy sort of element, but not cloying. Not the most crisp finish but still very smooth and refreshing.

M - Medium carbonation in the mouth with a medium body that moves very smooth.

D - Sessionable. Not a great beer but I could see this being a patio beer no problem if it's all that I had access to. I wouldn't turn one down on a hot day but I wouldn't seek it out.

Definately the least interesting of the Mill Street lineup but not terrible for the style. This was my first Mill Street brew, back when I would scam these baby bottle beers off my pops.

A - clear straw golden, short white head dissipated to a very thin random covering
S - corn .... that's about all I can say
T - very corn grainy malt is overwhelming, very light grassy hop note and just a little peppery
M - good carbonation level, watery thin, bready and a little dry finish
D - very one dimensional, easy drinking but only because it's thin and generic, one of their poorer offerings, i suspect they are simply capitalizing on the whole "organic" buzz, which people don't even understand

This is a crystal clear, golden beer. No wonder they bottled it in clear bottles. There is some head that's gone ASAP. A few tiny spots of lacing appear as the drink empties from the glass.

As for the smell and flavour, there's something grass-like to it... like dried grass or sweet grass almost. There's also something slightly dried-fruity about it. It reminds me a bit of a Corona, with just a bit of lime in it.

The feel is crisp and clear. For this style, everything is A-OK. It's refreshing and not dry, not too watery, and the carbonation is just right.

The drinkability is good. A bit more refreshing than most average lagers / pilseners.

clear bottle. looks like lemonade inside.almost clear with a yellow tint.

poured into a pint glass. huge 3 finger head. the color suggests i'm in for a light beer experience. but great looking head.

smells really good.citrus hops yeast.light corn smell but not in a bad way.

tangy and sweet with a light sweet finish. almost palate cleansing in its exit.
thirst quenching. this beverage needs to be chugalugged on a hot day. goes down smooth and clean. almost what all the bmc type beers strive for but lose out in their adjunct foulness.

i'm not sure that thirst quenching should be a priority in a beer. i prefer to savour fine flavors and aromas. but this beer does hit the spot.
