Another winner from Mill Street.
The presentation in the long neck silk screened bottle is pleasing to the eye, and sets up the anticipation of a good brew.
A: Nice clear copper colour, with reddish hues. Lovely creamy head that has good retention, and lovely lacing.
S: Complex to say the least. Spices, grass, floral notes, grapefruit. Hops upfront, and the rest in the background that give a challenge to sort them all out.
T: Like the smell. Big hops bitters that get smoothed out by a nicely balancing malt. Again, it's fun to sort out the flavours. It took me two beers to get a full appreciation.
M: Good carbonation and lively bubbles. Smooth medium body.
D: An easy drinking brew, especially on a hot day like we are currently experiencing.
This is not a classic "must have" beer, but it is great value for the dollar. It just became available here, and I hope it stays. This is worth a return visit.
