Don't know what Wies'n is? Then you fail todays Bierkultur test!!! Most of the Biers from this brewery are great! But something went wrong here. Too bad they have a great name and the Bier is terrible. I will have to pick up another bottle and review it again. I juts can't believe how bad this was....

Pours up nicely into a creamy lacey head that towers ove a light gold Bier. The nose features a nice wet malt aroma for about 1 second and then is turns to vegetables. Not good! The flavor can only be described in terms that I would use the bad sections of the Flavor wheel to describe. Rancid(old butter...and it aint pretty) is the best one and I'll leave it there....Have to try this again because I cant believe this brewery would put out this product. Guess I'll have to go to the Wies'n with Hotterthanhell and TTU94 to get good Wies'nbier....

Not retired, and of course not that bad

A- Typical marzen colour, dark golden with some orangeish hints. Nice head, a couple of fingers, quite fluffy, decent retention and lacing

S- Sweet bready/crackery malts. Also some fresh grassy/herbal notes in the background. A slight salty hint is perhaps what stands as peculiar with this beer

T- Totally in style as the smell suggested. Again, sweet crackery malts, with maybe some caramel and honey hints. Refreshing and herbal on both tongue and aftertaste, with maybe a lemon note

M- A delicate but quite easily detectable buttery feel lets you know this is slightly stronger than your classic Helles. Carbonation is gentle on both tongue and palate. Overall very smooth. Nice

O- Exactly what you would expect in a good marzen. That's pretty much it, and it's enough for me to be satisfied
