Another stop on the bachelor brewery tour.

Great outdoor beer garden setting here. Huge bar with at least 5-6 tap stations. No stools at the bar but a ton of tables for drinking and soaking up the weather. Stage at the back. Reminded me a bit of Summerfest.

The selection consisted of about 6-8 different capitol seasonals and year round offerings. Everything tasted fresh and clean.

Service was decent. Maybe a touch slow for my taste. The tour was a bit lackluster for $5. You did get to keep your tasting glass and received 3 samples.

Overall I could see this place being a great spot ot catch some live music on a warm summer night.

Stop #220 on my world brewery tour.

Solo visit around 7 on a Wednesday in early August. Entered directly into the spacious beer garden where I spent my entire visit.

Large bar spanning the width of the beer garden. I imagine this is good when the place is crowded during events.

I'm not a big drinker of Capital beers to begin with and the beer list seemed like their standard offerings. Nothing jumped out at me as special or seasonal so I went with the weiss in a clear plastic cup (with a $3 option to upgrade to glass). $4 for the beer with a $1 tip. I think it was 16 or 20 oz.

The beer garden with had a ton of large wooden tables and I was fortunate to find a plastic patio chair with a back to sip my brew and people watch.

No food offered here and many people had their own food and dogs on leashes. They say no carry in beverages but I saw people drinking soda that they appeared to have brought in themselves.

While the location seems like suburban Madison, there is a quaint village area around the corner and the town of Middleron does have a bit of historic charm along with the mega mart and upscale chain dining options close by.

A good choice if you have a large group of people, want to be outside, or there is a special summer event going on.

I stopped here this past summer before a concert. This day it seemed there wasn't much for high end beers, although I enjoyed the bier garten and the weather (and all the lightbugs!). The service was very impersonal, but an event was going on inside (I think a high school reunion). Was somewhat disappointed, but will give this place another chance when I can go in doors. Basic line up beers were all solid, but not great. Brewery location is a double edged sword; great for people on the west side of greater Madison, but also hurt by its remoteness from the other breweries in the area.

Stopped by while passing through Madison.

I found the atmosphere normal bar atmosphere maybe a little more light than "normal". There were neighborhood people just sitting around and it was easy to strike up a conversation.

Good selection of their own beers, which is understandable, although nothing that you couldn't get in a bottle. Bar tender was very informative and liked to talk beer.

No food served, but no problem bringing in your own carry out. The bar tender recommended someplaces and said you could have it delivered there.

I stopped by the bier garten a few times over the Summer to grab a drink with my sister and some of her friends. The bier garten is a nice place to visit on nice Summer day. There are probably two dozen picnic benches for people to sit in. The benches are surrounded by bushes and trees that cover up the surrounding buildings around the brewery.

I'm honestly not a huge Capital Brewery fan as far as beer goes. I picked up the U.S. Pale Ale and the Island Wheat. Both were good, but nothing spectacular. Both sessionable beers, but lacking in flavor in my opinion. At least they have a decent selection of beer for people to chose from.

The service was average, just employees standing behind the counter to serve you your beer. Since there is no food offering it's a bit tough to rate the service beyond average.
