Beer pours a lovely light copper, head is minimal.
Aroma is bready with a bit of fruit, very nice.
Taste is dominated by malt with an appropriately bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is medium-light viscosity, just right for the style.
Drinkability is quite high.
Overall, another quality lager from the brewery in a sea of American Ales, nice to have this to go to every spring to break from the stouts and porters of winter. Give it a try if you have a chance.

This really is a nice, malty spring beer with a small alcohol kick to it. Perfect after coming out of this last Winter. A slight grainy smell, not overly impressive. Creamy and carbonated, and a sweet finish? I do just also get a hint of the hops on this one. All-in-all a recommended spring seasonal beer.

A: Golden carmel colored, crystal clear, full finger of head that falls quickly.
S: Sweet toffee, carmel, almost an apple like charecter
T: Rich malt forward profile. carmel, toffee and toast. sweet in the finish
M: a bit of hot alcohol, dry finish, moderate carb'd.
O: A solid maibock that would pair well with food.

Pours a nice, soft, fizzy head that is surprisingly persistent. Sweet malt behind floral hops. Brilliant dark gold hue. A nice sweet malt (reminiscent of alcohol's sweetness) with floral hop bitterness which peaks to a low-medium bitterness. Then it cascades down with a MONUMENTAL malt finish with floral hops peaking through as it goes.
I LOVE this bier! Perfectly balanced. A Maibock to compete with the best of Germany. Nice, medium hops balanced off STUNNING maltiness. The way these two elements play amongst each other is just wonderful to experience on your tongue.
I eagerly await the coming of Maibock season just for this one (And Lakefront's "Big Easy").

On tap at Capital Brewery poured into a Capital Brewery Pint glass.
Appearance- A golden color with reddish brown tint with very little white head.
Smell- Fresh bread and a slight woody and piney hop smell.
Taste- Bunches of malt perfect and I do mean perfectly balanced with a very light piney hop flavor.
Mouthfeel- Great carbonation with a scary smoothness.
Overall- The lightness and breadiness with complementing hops and perfect carbonation make this my favorite maibock.
