12oz bottle
A- Pours a clear copper color with an off-white head.
S- The aroma is malt, caramel and a hint of hops.
T- The taste like the aroma is sweet malt, caramel and a touch of hops in the finish.
M- The mouthfeel is between light and medium bodies with a good amount of carbonation.

Draught in a pint glass
A: nice amber color. Not much of a head but I didn't pour it. From what I do see looks off white and frothy. Some lacing but mt alot
S: I'm getting a lot of crisp malt with a slight copper smell.
T: very drinkable, pretty malty but nothing to insane. All around its an average amber that doesnt stray too far from the flavor point you would expect.
M: nice and crisp. Refreshing, not too carbonated.
O: all around decent beer. True to the style but lacked any distinctive features.

A: Copper penny colored with white pillowy foam. Crystal clear through a standard pint glass
S: Caramel, toast and a spicy hop bite in the nose
T: A moderate earthy bitterness that blends nicley with the solid malt backbone. Bread crust, toffee and caramel from the malt. A slight mineraly flavor in the finish, but nothing stands out distinctly
M: Clean and crisp. light body with moderate carb
O: An easy drinking Amber with a good malt forward profile. I've had Ambers that run the gammet of being so bitter they were basically an IPA to very sweet and malty. This was somewhere in between and being a lager made me want to drink another pint. Prost!

Thanks to bertram for tossing this one in a box for me!
A. Pours a clean, clear reddish copper. Disappointing head, or lack thereof, with only a smattering of weak bubbles rimming the brew. Retention, likewise, is non-existent...within a minute, the appearance of the beer has deteriorated to that of a Killian's left out overnight on the beer pong table.
S. Clean grains, some lightly roasted malt, doughy bread, and a dash of zesty hop. For an amber lager, I dig the nose on this. It is clean with subtle hints of complexity. Nice.
T. Follows the nose very closely with spent grains/corn, caramel sweetness, some husky, fruity qualities similar to pumpernickel bread, and some very light hopping. Slightly watery on the finish, but it doesn't detract too badly. Light, clean, and pretty tasty.
M. Moderate to high carbonation, despite the aforementioned head retention issues. This beer may be a little too sweet for its own good...there is a mild astringency mixed with sweet corn on the finish. Some of the darker malts try to compete with this and round it out, but they give way to an almost artificial sweetness.
O. It's not going to win any awards, but for a low ABV amber-style lager, this ain't half bad. Toes the line dangerously close to the adjunct style with its spent grain bill and corn sweetness. Still, it succeeds in being light and refreshing, with just enough caramel and malt complexity to keep it interesting, as well. Reminds me a bit of Yuengling and I imagine this is a popular choice in Wisconsin for both the craft enthusiast caught in a non-craft setting and for the BA-in-training trying to graduate from the adjunct swill currently pedaled in Wisconsin. Happy to have had this very approachable beer from Capital.

Another treat from my surprise Christmas mixer gift.
A - Pours a clear light amber colour with a copper hue, finger of head with some retention and no real lacing.
S - Sweet caramel and toffee, candied pears, burnt brown sugar and buttered bread on the finish.
T - The caramel and toffee notes come through alongside some sweet corn, candied apple, bready malts and a lingering fruity finish.
M - Medium bodied, smooth and a touch of dryness.
O - Another tasty brew that offers up the basics of the style without overwhelming the palette. Easy drinking and a session ale that I could easily take down a few pints at a time. Nothing mind blowing, but tasty nonetheless.
