Clear medium yellow colour with an average, frothy, good lacing, medium lasting, white head. Aroma is a light malt, toasted, sweet corn - and of cooked vegetables. Flavour is moderate sweet and lightly bitter with a average duration, with a corn like after taste. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is light. Not too bad but I was thirsty for something other than abc stout on a hot 39C day.

A: Golden yellow, tones of carbonation, small white fuzzy head which fades to nothing in a couple minutes.
S: Smells of malt, hops, some skunk, reminds me of Pabst to some degree, and some cheap Chinese lagers.
T: Taste pretty much follows the nose, but its better than I expected. Malt, some hops, some skunk but very mild, some Pabst Blue Ribbon like taste (kind of a slight sweet Jello- like taste) but it passes way faster than Pabst’s would, and gives a nice yeasty pizzeria aftertaste.
M: Highly carbonated, light body.
O: Not bad for a cheap Thai beer. Would go well anything an American Adjunct would, but would be best with Thai food and salty snacks to fit its country of origin.

A: Pours clear golden with a sizzeling sound, lots of small bubbles in the liquid. The large white head is at first compact but quickly turns soapy. Only faint lacings.
S: Faint bitter hops, sweet, sweet malt with quite some corn in it. Citric notes.
T: Sweet malts, with some corn. Bitter hops. Some marzipan in the back. Citric notes. A bit artificial.
M: Aftertaste lingers longer than others in this style, nice bitterness. Body is medium while carbonation is strong and a bit aggresive.
O: A decent beer, rather nice considering the style.

Had a bottle of this at the Siam Heritage restaurant in the Parco department store of Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Poured into a regular pilsner glass. This Thai brew is a yellow-gold brew with complete transparency with a foamy white head that disappears after the first sip and leaves the glass completely clean at the end of its life. The smell was pleasant throughout the entire drink, however, even as it warmed a bit (a quality lacking in most lagers/pilsners). Also, the taste was wonderfully smooth yet also had hints of grain and even orange. This lager went well with the spicy Thai food we ate, and I would definitely choose it again among a selection of other lagers from SE Asia.

spending my hols in Thailand and sampling all local brews I can get hold of ....
smell is hoppy and nutty
the taste is somewhat chemical (there is some rumor about thai beers containing relatively large amounts of formaldehyde, which might be confirmed by this brew), lightly bitter and watery
an english style rather unpleasant lager ... neither smooth nor great taste (which would be the ad on the bottle ...)

currently traveling through SE Asian and sampling all the local brews i can find. there's a distinct style to the light-bodied lagers specifically suited to the blazing heat and humidity of the region, so reviews are based on my understanding of the style here.
A - poured from a 650 ml bottle into a tall water glass. freshness date says it was brewed in the last 20 days. very pale gold, produces a frothy even head that recedes fairly quickly
S - i swear to god i stuck my nose in the glass for at least a minute and can't identify any particular smell whatsoever. there's, like, nothing... which is about average for the style
T - most of the lagers here lean towards a hint of pale malt sweetness w/ virtually no hop presence. my first sip made me think i had somehow caught the foil off the bottle in my mouth, except there is no foil around the bottle cap and i'm drinking out of a glass. there's some kind of hop bitterness trying to dry this out but the initial metallic flavor profile is too off-putting to try to assess what little else may be going on here. it tastes cheap
M/F - crisp and very light, good carbonation. hard to assess mouthfeel due to the unpleasant lingering flavor but it seems average for the style
O - i drank enough to review this beer but i won't finish half the bottle. i've had over 15 beers of this style while in this region. most of them are decent and quite a few are surprisingly good, but i can definitively advise not reaching for this one if there are other choices in the cooler when traveling here

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a glass mug.
A: Light golden yellow color. Two finger head that recedes quickly. Leaves little to no lacing.
S: Sweetness, grains, slight caramel, citrus.
T: Grainy, sweet, slight alcohol, slight bitterness.
M: Creamy mouthfeel. Light bodied with medium carbonation.
D: This beer is not too bad. There are some bad batches out here in Thailand that will taste a bit too sweet and will give you massive headaches, but this batch was decent. Easy to drink with a meal or by itself. Refreshing on a hot day. Try it if you haven't.

A crisp, clear color. Finger thick head takes about a minute to die down. Looks like a lager should.
Aromas of slightly roasty malts, buttery, and sweet citrus hops. Not bad.
The taste is a little like… buttery movie popcorn with a light hop touch. Definitely some corn flavor. Not bad (for Thailand)
The mouthfeel is light and crisp, medium follow through.
I could have a few of these.

330ml bottle poured into a pils glass.
A:
Bright gold color, transparent with slim white head that rapidly dissipates, no lacing appeared. Carbonation is medium to high. Overall appearances look a bit dull.
S:
Faint malt, a bit musty, grainy and grassy which is general AAL's note.
T:
Distinctive sweetness from adjunct grains and cereals bring to balance by hop bitterness note in the finish.
M:
Light body, very crisp, high carbonated but smooth throughout a palate.
D:
Definitely easy drinkable but just quite mediocre consider in all aspects.

Notes from first week of Dec 2010
630ml bottle
A: Gold with small head, but reasonable rising carbonation.
S: Nice, slightly metallic but fresh malt. Relatively rich.
T: Wow, I didn't think I'd find any decent beers here but this one is well up there with good german and Czech pilsners. Nice malt vs hop balance. Fresh.
M: Relatively smooth with medium body. Very mild but pleasant carbonation.
D: Like the bottle says, "Smooth and Great taste." I will have to agree. Best AAL I've ever had, and i was fooled into thinking it wasn't one.

This one is not a patch on Singha. Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pale yellow with a slim head that disappeared without a lace. Smelt skunked and terribly metallic. Grainwater, vinegar and grassy. Taste was nothing to write home about - grain, raw bitterness and no maltiness at all. Just a bitter rendition of grainwater. Mouthfeel was very thin with an over the top carbonation. Not recommended, unless its the last thing available.

For the price that it offers, its not a bad beer. It was very refreshing when I had it and it left a descent impression on me. Not the best beer, but definitely drinkable and better than alot of the domestic beers from back home like bud light and all that other crap. Overall, I would prefer to drink this over Chang any day. Give it a try!

Drank from a can, glass was not available. This beer had a similar taste and smell to other thai beers. The mouthfeel was slightly differnt. Was very smooth, almost creamy and tingled the tip of your tounge. This beer seems to be more popular with the locals, no idea why.

Tried this beer from a can in Thailand. They were out of Singha and Chang, so this was the next obvious choice. It tasted similar to Singha and Chang, but was a lot less fresh. I would recommend having a Thai whiskey over this beer as I was not impressed by it at all.

This is not as good as some of the other SE Asian beers (and that is a pretty big insult). Clearish yellow with no head whatsoever. Nose is weak hops and yeast. Taste is light grains, with not much going on. Mouthfeel is thin. Skip this and go for an Angkor or even Beerlao.
