Appearance Dark, ruby brown in color with a very pretty, slightly-tanned head that rose up two fingers or so and laced the glass on the way down.
Smell This is toasted American grain that didnt come out too bad. Its very sweet and contains some nice sugars, particularly caramel and brown sugar.
Taste This is better than I had expected. Theres a light cask-aged bourbon flavor here, but other than that its pretty much what I got from the nose. The toasted grain is the highlight here. Im not a big grain fan but they did as good as they could with it.
Mouthfeel Somewhat light for the style, but the toasted sweetness is very pleasing to the cheeks.
Drinkability I havent been too endeared to the TK beers prior to this, but the Happy Cow is a cut above the others.

The beer pours a deep somewhat hazy brown, or mahogany if you like, the head is modest in size, frothy in texture and a light to medium tan color, as it erodes a fine sealing sheet of lace forms upon the glass. Sweet malt dominates the crisp and fresh nose, hints of lightly toasted grain also present, a sweet malt rich start with the top light to medium in feel. Finish is brisk in its acidity, the hops pleasant in their spicy bite, droughty aftertaste, a fine drinkable beer.

Dark Red color, medium white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of spice. Rich robust roasted malts. Smooth rich flavor. Slightly hoppy. Full round mouthfeel, smooth taste. OK winter beer. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is malty, slightly bitter.
