Pours a light/medium amber color, with a half inch head that leaves lacing throughout drinking.
Smell is very strong on and refreshing right after pouring but seems to settle after a few minutes out. At first smells of mildly strong hops and later you can smell something citrusy .
Taste is good especially halfway during the glass the beer shows its citrus flavors and hops not bad at all.
Mouthfeel is good.
Conclusion this beer is a good session beer for experienced craft beer drinkers. For noobs there may be to much flavor.

Pours a slightly cloudy gold - juuuust this side of amber. Lacing up nicely.
Not a whole lot of malt going on here for as dark as it is. Mostly, there's astringent hop bitterness up front that give way to a sort of grapefruit sourness.
Probably just fine on a hot day; not terribly interesting to me.

Average looking, kinda tan and mostly clear with rising bubbles and not a lot of head or lace.
Aroma is typically blonde ale, a little sweet corn and some straw/grassy notes with a light maltiness. Flavor follows suit. Body is light and quite easy to drink, refreshing and just a little slick on the back end.
Overall it's enjoyable, perhaps not my personal favorite from Pike, but still tasty.

A - Hazy golden orange, finger of head dissipated to thin cover, consistent lacing
S - Grassy and peppery, light fruit, and a touch of grain
T - mellow citrus and pepper hops, quickly followed by crisp grassiness and biscuit and grain malt
M - fairly light with crisp and mild spiciness
O - Very much a classic pilsner flavour and feel, close enough to a blonde ale and worth a purchase either way

[Suggested Glassware: Shaker Glass]
The pour was a hazy medium orange with a slight brownish hue and an average (1-2 finger) white creamy head, which did allow for some fair streaky lacing.
The aroma was of a light grain malt, floral hops and a sweaty yeast with notes of citrus (orange), apricot and a mild peppery spice.
The taste a tad malty with a mild apricot sweetness from the start but quickly progressed into a hoppy bitter taste with a note of citrus peel and a slight peppery finish. The flavor stuck around for quite a long time with a mildly hoppy fruity taste left to linger.
Mouthfeel was light in body and dry in texture with a prickly carbonation.
Overall a nice crisp, hoppy Organic Ale that had just enough fruity sweetness to take the harsh bite out of the hoppy citrus peel ending...

Pale it may be, but I'd categorize this as a blonde.
lightly chilled 22 oz. bomber into a shaker pint. Probably should have been colder, actually. No discernible bottling date, unless the "194 B" on the label indicates that it was yesterday, which I find improbable.
Look- Clear deep gold with half a glass of loose crackly foam. Falls to a film within a minute or so. Decent lacing.
Smell- Bready with a hint of roses and... strawberry? Something "citric", but not really citrus-y. Starfruit, perhaps. Swirling brings out a toffeelike sweetness and the faintest hint of alcohol. A bit peppery. Clean, no-nonsense, but not one-dimensional, either.
Taste- Follows the nose, quite malty but there's enough earthy, herbal spice to keep it from being too sweet. Golden is a good descriptor, makes me think of bread pudding made with a dollop of light molasses. Finishes with soft-edged citrus and biscuit. Faint mineral aftertaste, but it's barely there.
Mouthfeel- Light-medium body for a blonde, soft carbonation. Just dry enough, very clean. Drinks like iced tea.
Overall- Light, refreshing, soft feel, and good flavor for a blonde ale. Pretty good for a $3 bomber, a nice summer drinker. I'll probably get it again at some point.

A - Pours a hazy orange w/an off-white head that quickly dissipates. Lacing is moderate.
S - Smell is of various tropical fruits (peach, orange, mango), balanced w/toasted caramel malts and subtle, piney hops.
T - Taste is of smooth, toasted bready caramel malts, w/notes of mango and orange. Hops balance out the flavor, but don't really show any dominance.
M - Mouthfeel is medium bodied, w/light carbonation. Very sessionable.
O - Overall, I should have tried this sooner. It's one solid pale ale!

Poured and inviting hazy yellowish orange, 2 finger off white head that stays for a few minutes leaving decent lacing.. Smells of relaxed hops and sweet malt. Taste is mostly sweet caramel malt with hops balancing it very well. Overall a perfect beer for this nice spring afternoon.

Hazy golden honey color with a thin geriatric head.
Fruity aroma with some caramelized malt notes.
Classic "touring a craft brewery" wort-like malt flavor with fruity shades and light citrus and resin hops.
light-to-medium body - the beer is sweet and malty up front and through the mid-palette and then finishes with light bitterness.
This is actually more enjoyable than it seems.

Pours a cloudy dark golden orange color with a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thin lasting ring. Spots of lacing left behind.
Slightly earthy aroma with some bready yeast, light fruit and faint spice. Kind of bland in the nose really with hints of apple, grass and straw.
Medium bodied with a crisp hop bite up front that lingers over the sweeter notes and bready yeast into a slightly dry finish. Pale malt backbone with hints of grass and straw along with some zesty spice and apple. Well balanced, refreshing and easy to drink.

Sometimes all you need is a lighter beer to feel good. And that's what I'm going to drink tonight. From a 22 ounce bottle that lists a 5.5% ABV, on to the beer:
Soapy looking inch thick head on top of a body that is translucent pale gold with small bubbles that race to the top. Persistence of the head is solid, and it leaves a few strips of lacing. Some carmel, diacetyl, a little veggie note in the nose.
It does the job. Grassy hops lead off and then comes a tint of diacetyl. Faint citrus notes are most resemblant to grapefruit. Time seems to cut into the diacetyl and make it slowly go away. Out come sweeter fruity flavors. The carbonation is surprisingly jumpy from the get go; honestly, given how easy it was to pry-off the bottle cap from the bottle, I feared that the beer may be undercarbonated. Still, I don't have a whole lot to complain about.
It took some time, but Pike Brewing has arrived in Orange County. To all the hop bombs I can easily grab from the shelf, this is a fair alternative for those who aren't looking to get their palate thrashed in a pinch.

Appearance:
Golden color, slight touch of haze. Some bubbles. Foamy head, bright white color. Lacing looks very nice on the glass.
Aroma:
Sweet malts, slight toffee. A little fruity.
Taste:
Malty up front with a slight dry bitterness at the end. Very malty, bready, toffee, slight buttery. There some doughy from the yeast. Hop is very subtle, I get a little earthy. Medium bodied. Carbonation is light.
Finish:
Very dry finish.
Overall:
It’s more like an English Pale Ale than American Pale Ale. It’s pretty good beer.

My bottle has a 5.5% abv
Has a bright brown color with a smell of hazelnut, citric taste probably orange with a dry finish, strong mouthfeel.
The taste of this beer scream APA all over it, at bar I probably have no more than 2. But this beer was really worth the trying.
A Superb enjoyment.

Appearance: Pours a pretty clear yellow color with a 3" pillowey head that was maintained by a bunch of bubbles rising. It looks like a nice Belgian...perhaps I shouldn't have poured it in a stein. There is tons of lace left on the glass after drinking and the head fades.
Aroma: I initially got a bit of wheat mixed with plenty of American citrus hops. As the beer warms, the hops are coming out more. There is a bit of a wheaty edge coming in too as it warms up. Overall, it is a nice blend for the style.
Taste: It has a healthy dose of American hops in the flavor. They are supported by some light crystal malts, so overall it has the elements of a typical American Pale Ale. Overall the beer is light bodied with plenty of carbonation. It comes across stupidly drinkable, and actually the high carbonation is holding it back a bit. The finish is quite nicely balanced. It tips ever so slightly toward the hops in the end, but the malt is a big player in the finish. I don't notice any alcohol anywhere. As the beer starts to warm up, there is a grassy note coming out that is getting to be a little bit annoying.
Opinion: This is a pretty good Pale Ale overall. It is drinkable and has a nice balance. The grassy note is a bit out of balance, but overall that is a pretty nit-picky thing. This is one of the better examples of this style I have had, and I would definitely recommend giving it a shot.

One of the few Pike offerings in Calgary that I had yet to try.
A - Slightly hazy pale straw colour, little head, retention or lacing.
S - Very mild, but some grassy hops and bready biscuit malts on the finish.
T - Citrus hop flavours come through with a slight bitterness and a touch of euro pilsener flavours linger on the tongue.
M - Medium bodied ale that goes down a bit prickly and finishes a tad dry.
D - A tasty offering, reminiscent of a hopped up pilsener. Worth a try, but don't expect anything spectacular.

Poured out of a bomber into my Duvel.
A - Fairly cloudy light yellow pour. Modest one inch head that stays around. Very light lacing left after each sip.
S - Light, crisp fruit smell. Has an aromatic flowery appeal to it.
T - Much more of a malt taste then expected. Makes me think of a granny smith apple. Finished off a bit dry and left just a faint sweetness in my mouth.
M - Light bodied.
D - Sure its fairly light and drinkable. It's an average offering.

This beer pours a slightly hazy golden orange hue, with two fingers of thin foamy white head, which leaves some random specks of lace around the glass as it melts away. It smells of caramel nougat malt, and grassy, metallic hops. The taste is a mix of mild orange, grapefruit, and citrus hops, and biscuity, bready malt. The carbonation is average, the body medium weight, and mostly smooth. It finishes off-dry, with a significant grain malt component, and a lesser leafy, citrusy, floral hop aspect.
Overall, a decent enough pale ale, restrained in the bitterness, but still exhibiting a full flavour profile. A good sessioner, if you're ok with a more rounded quaff.

Poured into a imperial pint glass a deep amber hued golden with a well formed tight one finger white head that was gone pretty quickly.Mainly caramel/biscuit malt in the nose with some light floral hops, seemed to be a little more malt driven wich surprised me a little. The flavors are alot like the aromas, sweetish biscuit malt with light citric and earthy hops,a little toastiness in the finish.Pretty much a no frills APA with a big malt bill, not bad.

Pour: Clear, effervescent goldenrod color. One finger of white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little bits of lacing behind.
Smell: A light aroma of grapefruit/citrus and pale malt. Pretty uninteresting.
Taste: Rich, sweet pale malt flavor with a hint of caramel. Back end finishes up with a light-to-moderate hop bitterness. Incredibly well-balanced.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Crisp and clean.
Drinkability: A very easy and smooth drinking beer. Thirst quenching.
Final Notes: A delicious no-frills session beer. Ideal for when you want a beer with flavor but that's easy on the palate and you can have a few in a single setting. Would make an excellent party or after-yardwork beer.

A: A medium bright orange pour showcases a medium dense micro-bubbly effervesce. The head was initially a finger high, soft beige, but short lived, while the lacing was weak providing minimal coverage.
S: Perfumy scents of oranges which is followed up by some tart tangerines. The strength is limited, quickly trails off, even after several minutes of agitation, failing to hold interest.
T: Tart blend of grapefruit and orange peels opens things up along with a faint hop spiciness of dried pineapple and some citrusy wheat notes. Fairly dry with some citrusy dried apple and alcohol tones rounds things out in an otherwise limited show of complexity. The alcohol and fullness of the palate seems a bit big considering its 4.7%abv.
M: Weak mouthful, light, oily, with a lame carbonation factor. Some dry wheat and dry citrusy apple skins appear on the swallow.
D: Average drinkability, even its unusual low abv hardly makes this a contender for more, just a boring example, flat and lazy drink that is mediocre at best. Average excitement not particularly sharp and defined, and rather lifeless and mundane.

Pours a rather typical clear yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is not strong, but is crisp and malty if not inspiring. Flavor, fortunately, is better - malty and a little fruity with a faint and not too unpleasant tinny undertone. Texture is smooth and just a little fizzy. Overall, fair to middlin' and leaning towards middlin'.

Served in a Devil's Backbone willibecher.
I think I'm pretty jaded at this point: Nellie doesn't look all that naughty to me... The brew pours a mostly clear orange juice topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises wheat, corn, floral hops, coriander, cardamom, and a tiny touch of coffee-laced toffee. The taste comprises the toffee, corn, wheat, florals, and a touch of newcoming orange-peel. The body is pretty light, with a light carbonation and a nearly crisp finish. Overall, a very ordinary brew, nothing much going on, but very drinkable nonetheless. Not bad if you're looking for a session brew.

I have been notably underwhelmed by Pike's debut on the East Coast. In general, the beers feel thin, non-descript, and conceived for the lowest common taste level.
But with Naughty Nellie, I might be coming around. This is a tasty, refreshing, and enjoyable beer.
Pours hazy golden with a slight head. The flavor is grainy and sweet, with a little delicate hop character. The flavor, however, is strong and honeylike, with a sharp hop bitterness biting in the finish. It is surprising to see that this beer is under 5 percent - it has a robust flavor that speaks of more substance. The finish is citrusy, like a delicate but sharp lemon aid.
The low ABV does show through on the mouthfeel, though, with a slight, slick, and watery feel. But even so, this is a marvellous hot weather session beer.
