New recipe just for the 2017 Hob Mob Roadshow. Hopulus Erectus will make any IPA fan stand up and take notice! This bold, triple IPA puts the hops’ citrus, grapefruit and piney flavors front and center. We do this by filling our hopback with the latest harvest’s whole leaf Citra hops and then dry hopping the beer 3 times with Simcoe and Mosaic hops. Nearly 10# of hops are in each barrel of Hopulus Erectus. Hop insanity!
MALT VARIETIES: ESB, Munich, Organic Pils, Carapils, Malted Wheat, Organic Sugar.
HOP VARIETIES: Ahtanum, Whole Leaf Citra. Dry hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe and Comet.

One of the best beers I have ever had. I was devestated when I found out this was seasonal.

I had this on-tap in a taster glass at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: medium orange with plenty of haze. Attractive, if standard for the style.
Smell: candy fruitiness of pineapple, mango, peach and wonder. Love it!
Taste: large and fruity up front with peach and pineapple, then turning a little syrupy toward the end. Bitterness is surprisingly low. I like it a lot, though.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a decent-enough creaminess for the style.
Overall: a big fruity DIPA; my favorite type of the style. That aroma is just outstanding.
