Attained via the Blueberry Festival in Plant City, FL. Pours a translucent mahogany with a thick, pillowy and well-retaining head. Smells of pine, with a hints of grapefruit pith and pineapple rind, and a wintergreen/evergreen/medicinal note that I can't quite place. Bold hop flavor comes through on the palate; a slight citrus presence, lots of piney resin, and some herbal/evergreen/almost-minty/foliage-esque-ness, this is followed by a strong biscuity malt backbone and a clean finish. Lower level of carbonation, medium-light mouthfeel. If I had to guess, I'd say this brew utilizes some munich malts, with a clean bittering hop like Apollo or Nugget and then some Chinook and EKG for flavor and aroma. Tea and crumpets, anyone..? overall, a pretty good pub IPA, could pair well with some fish and chips and definitely a sharp cheese. Also could potentially be a summer substitute for Sierra Nevada's Celebration, though with the balance slightly favoring the malts. 3.91/5
Edit: Just had a second sample from the can. It really tastes like a session-barelywine. Really pretty good. 4/5

Decent tasting English style IPA from Two Henrys Brewing Co. Nice color with caramel flavours, subtle hop taste. Nothing overly aggressive or wildly memorable. Canned from somewhere in Naples.

Poured from a can into a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, deep, copper-caramel coloring, with a tall, foamy, chunky, bubbly, off-white head. Nose of tropical fruits, bready backbone, sweet caramel, and peppery spices. Flavors are astringent forward, with a tart grapefruit and lemon blend on a caramel backbone. Subtle piney hops profiles provide some bitterness. Slightly out of balance palate on a dry, light body. The aftertaste has some tropical and piney notes, but ultimately overpowered by the strong astringency that blasts through the otherwise effervesced, light finish. Meh.
