More domestic craft brewers should create a pilsener style and put hops somewhere in the name to generate interest. Pours a green hued hazy yellow with a thin head forming characters of the Chinese alphabet or genetic code, I can't tell which. Smells of daisy bagels and caramel creamed cheese. A draught starts radish sprout sweet to turn instantly tin. The middle exhibits characteristics of deodorant soap that detract from the overall package, young hops? After reading the label I desperately wanted to love this beer, an unfiltered lager, half the profits to charity and all that but the raw element is just too disturbing.

Nice fresh hops coming through on the aroma, it's not pure grain like I get out of most pilsners. Grassy, and somewhat floral as well.
Poured out with a lot of junk, I didn't know this was bottle carbonated. The beer is hazy and dark straw in color. The head was an off-white fluffy thing which had tremendous staying power. Lacing was really nice too, however, there were bits of floating junk in the beer too. It looked unappetizing overall.
Super carbonated was the first thing I noticed. It has a light fruit character, like berries without the sweetness, grain, cereal, and it has this earthy kind of twist to it. Not too bad, at least it's interesting.

I used to love this Pils, but it now tastes like a homebrew that's gone off. It was very foamy with large bubbles and I poured it down the sink. I hope this was a bad bottle but at $9 for four I took it back. I will try it in the future and hope for better luck.

I really wish I could like this brew better than I do, especially based on the Bros' write-up. This is now brewed by St. George Brewing in Hampton VA so that may account for the difference in reviews. We picked these up at the brewery.
The appearance is fine and the scent is very low-key, improving slightly as it warms. The initial taste is somewhat harsh but mellows a bit as it warms (which I find strange for a pilsner). Both the wife and I get an odd aftertaste as well. I am a fan of keller beers but I'm not picking up much of the style characteristics here.
We will crack open another bottle and edit the review if needed.

Thanks to Thorpe429 for sending this along in a trade.
Fluffy white head forms and fades fairly quickly. The beer is a slightly hazy dull gold color. A touch of lace.
Aroma is a little doughy, very grassy with a good sense of hops at the finish.
Grassy, doughy notes continue. Some green flavors and then a pretty assertive hop bitterness. Doughy again. A touch of spice here as well.
Body itself is fairly light, but the assertive finish makes it appear a bit bigger.
Interesting and I kept going back and forth on whether I liked it. The doughy nature turned me off a little. Glad I tried it.

12 oz bottle split and poured into a pilsner glass.
5% ABV, code on bottom, no date.
Big thanks to Thorpe429 for this one!
A - Hazy golden yellow looks a bit dirty but is still bright nonetheless. The pillowy off-white head has superb retention and thick, patchy lace that clings to the glass.
S - Awesome aroma of spicy, citrusy lemongrass and fresh noble hops. Pils malt backing is a great balance to the spicy hop aroma. Fresh and clean!
T - Pils malt still provides a good backing to the bold spicy noble hops. Delicious noble lemongrass spice flavor. Well-balanced and quite delicious.
M - Crisp, refreshing, and superbly balanced, this pils is light-bodied, spicy, and finishes cleanly.
O - Fantastic across the board, this beer is quite a summer treat that's refreshing and delicious!

Good lasting head. Lots of lace with good rings. Deep amber color and very clear.
Fresh floral hop aroma. It smells thin.
Nope, the body is fine--even bordering on the rich side. Good carbonation. Very bitter--too bitter for the style, not that I'm complaining. Little malt. I'd describe this as a layered IPA.
