Poured from growler into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear orange amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam floating atop the brew. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is biggest of a caramel and tangerine sweetness mixed with a decent showing of a hoppy smell of grapefruit and pine. Along with these aromas comes some other lighter aromas of a light grassy nature as well as a little bit of a mango and pineapple smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a very smooth bready taste mixed with a good showing of a grapefruit hop taste. The grapefruit hop grows rather strong right after the start of the taste, to where it afterwards remains rather constant and creates a nice base hop flavor for the brew. Other sweeter fruit flavors of a tangerine and caramel, as well as a little bit of a mango and pear are there. The sweeter flavors start out light and get even lighter as the taste advances. While the sweeter fades, more hops come to the tongue with some pine and earth coming to the tongue, ending up leaving a nicely moderately drier but very smoothly drier hop flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the drier and hopped flavors of the brew the just slightly thicker body and average carbonation make for a nice, still easy drinking medium, but yet still support the hop flavors rather nicely. Overall quite nice.
Overall – A great IPA with a somewhat drier and nice hoppy blend flavor. A very easy drinking and tasty brew overall.

Taster at brewery. Dark golden, small creamy head, solid lacing. Aroma is malty, oranges. Taste is light malty notes with a bit of hoppy snap at the back.

Well balanced and drinkable IPA with a smooth finish while maintaining great hop character. Best beer I've tried from Montana.
