Appearance: Pours a light golden yellow and crystal clear with a minimal head that dissipates quickly with no appreciable lacing.
Aroma: The smell of unbaked bread and hay.
Taste: Crisp and clean with mild floral hop bitterness.
Texture: Grainy and light body with good champagne-like carbonation.
Drinkability: A decent session beer when your left with less desirable options.
Presentation: Poured from a 12oz bottle into a mug.

An admittedly overzealous pour of this 11.2 oz. can of Warsteiner "Premium German Beer" produces a straw-golden body of brew, which supports a thick snow-white head with plenty of staying power.
The nose is typical of German Pilseners: mild; slightly sweet; subtle hints of herbs and spices.
The first sip unfolds slowly on the palate. Sweet malts lead the way, but are quickly balanced by some mild aroma hops. Bitter hops emerge towards the end and are substantial enough to hold their own and keep the sweet malts from outstaying their welcome. Well-balanced.
As the mild carbonation suggested, this beer is light and crisp on the palate.
Warsteiner Premium isn't the kind of hoppy, dry pilsener that American breweries are putting out these days. Perhaps that explains why it is undervalued at BeerAdvocate.com. For my money, it's a beautiful representation of the drinkable sophistication that typifies German beer. I'll be revisiting this one.
