look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4.5

Appearance: Chestnut brown with a good-sized, beige-white head that retains fairly well.

Smell: Lavendery hops with a grape juice and buckwheat honey sweetness. There are touches of molasses, toast, and roasted nuts from the darker malts, as well. Delicate yet deep.

Taste: Fruity and somewhat nutty, with notes of nectarines, Brazils, and a hint of diacetyl. Hops add a light, woody/spicy edge.


Mouthfeel: Very smooth if a tad thin. Quite clean.

Drinkability: Mmm... a lovely beer offering a rich flavor at quite a low alcohol. We need more of these in America/Japan! Very nice and nuanced.
