The beer is deep black with a thick nitro induced tan head that sticks around for the whole beer, leaving sheets of lace on the glass.
I can detect a mild odor of cocoa.
The taste is a mix of a general roasted flavor (hints of black coffee and dark chocolate--hints mind you, hints) with a slightly sweet backdrop. As is the case with all nitro beers, the flavors seem somewhat blunted.
The mouthfeel is typical nitro. Smooth and full.
Drinkability is very good. Definitely something that could be consumed all night with ease.
