Pours a traditional pale ale orange, with some bubbly head. Smells of bitter hops and a hint of toasted coconut. Flavor is huge toasted coconut with some nutty malts. Had they upped the malt bill with some Marris Otter or some darker crystal malts, this would taste exactly like a Zagnut Bar- thankfully(!) it isn’t killed by sweetness and finishes with a bitter hop finish. Feel is soft with some fizz. Pleasant drinking experience.

From a growler into a tulip glass, had on 9/15/16.
Pours golden with a slight orange tint, lightly hazy, with a one finger head and some soapy lacing. The smell is yeast. coconut- more as it warms, light malt, light lactose- none used that I know of, some earthy hops when warm. The taste leads with the coconut- again more as it warms, which was a pleasant surprise. Also malt, yeast, some hop bitterness. Smooth, some creaminess, fairly refreshing. Good body and well carbonated.
Good flavor, the coconut has an overall strong presence, but it's not cloying. A fairly straightforward beer, enjoyable to drink. Solid effort.

Appearance - The deep is a copper color with white bubbles at the top.
Smell - Coconuts and bready malts are present in the nose.
Taste - at the beginning, there is a clear coconut presence with the wheat in the background. The wheat dries the sweeter coconut. I like the coconut, but I think the wheat neutralizes the sweet coconut that almost wants to be milky. The ale finishes a little dry.
Mouthfeel - The carbonation has little effect on the taste. It is smooth and easy drinking.
Overall - I like this, but the coconuts might work better with a different beer style. A milk stout might be a good choice.
