Formerly Coup Beans
The flaked oats added to the eight malts and grains in this brew add a creamy, near sweetness that cuts the sharpness of the coffee without eliminating the rich, robust flavor. A blend of Dominican and Costa Rican coffees from our friends at One World Roasters give you that "morning cup" flavor in an easy going pint of beer.

Pours a viscous black body allowing no light through beneath the thick, dark tan head which dissolves to leave a thin ring of lacing around the perimeter.
Immediately the aroma offers generous, dark roasted coffee beans combined with the roasted oat aromas one would expect of the style. As it warms there may be hints of milk chocolate as well.
The flavor offers abundant roasted malt and oats as well as copious amounts of fresh brewed coffee. There is also a touch of woody or earthy hops if I am not mistaken nd some char in the finish.
Medium carbonation and a full, chewy body highlight the mouthfeel.
Overall another tasty New England brew. These guys always seem to do a great job of sticking to the style, just pronouncing some of the character more.

Look...Black with a tan brown head and good carbonation. A typical English coffee stout with a more watery appearance
Smell...a light char with coffee undertones. Light brown sugar smell with light hop and hint of toffee
Taste,,,An English bitter of the start with molasses and and coffee, A rather delicate balance of the bitter and sweet with a very light malt presence. Almost a Guinness bittering finish
Feel...thin and incredibly easy to sip and never thick but a significant amount of lacing.
Overall...This is a non heavy more traditional stout like Sammy Smith more than Founders sweet variety or many of the stouts today. This is nothing exceptional but a real tasty beer with the ABV at rate that affords you to have a couple and is not too debilitating. Well made
