Sulfur, vegetable on the nose. Softer carbonation than I was expecting but otherwise plan flavored.

Some sweetness and hop bitterness, but no flavour coming from the hops.

CUB seem to have about 7 beers all with different names but which are pretty much the same.

Appearance - 2.0
Pours a finger of white head that quickly falls to leave a patchy skin over a clear pale gold body, leaving behind a ring of lace.

Smell - 1.5
A little offensive, sulphury and vegetal, with powdery husk.

Taste - 1.5
For me, this is not quite as offensive as Carlton Draught, though not much better. Stale tasting grain, corn and husk, coupled with an oddly sweet note (it's only 0.05% sugar), metallic hops, low to moderate bitterness and a bone dry finish.

Mouthfeel - 2.0
Gassy and fizzy with a watery, thin body.

Drinkability - 2.0
Ought to be at least refreshing, but water does a far better job, and it is actually quite bloating.

OVERALL - 1.7
It's not entirely in the name, but this is just another in a long (and becoming longer) list of dry, low-carb, low-taste lagers. Worse still, for me it is actually one of the worst of a very poor bunch. It seems the Carlton name remains ubiquitous with crappy beer.

Pours a standard beer gold. The colour of beer. Carbonation is steady but not intense. Head is white, webbed all around and sinking in random spots. Leaves a ring of lacing foam, but little lacing from the body of the beer. Looks pretty standard.

Nose has not much going on at all. First impression is it smells like vomit. There is a sweet, light honey touch and a disturbing raw meat character to that. No hops whatsoever, smell is not simple but is really, genuinely bad. Not looking forward to drinking. Maybe if I hold my nose I can get this down.

Taste does have that really bizarre meaty character on the first sip. Mid-palate, on the plu side, has NO bizarre meaty character. Hooray! Rejoice! The mid-palate has no meaty character! Shame, though, and woe - accursed be the middle, for of flavour there be none. Nay meat nor malt nor grain, just ye olde water, and very thin and unpalatable it be. Finish be called "dry" by the lost souls who market yon grog, but I simply calls it "bad". Look, garbled early modern English/pirate crap aside, it tastes like pouring turpentine down the throat, I imagine. Chemical-metallic with a sharp, stinging sensation in the throat which cannot be put down to the 4.5% alc.

Other than that there's nothing to this at all. Taste is blah, and mouthfeel is bleeeeurgh. No hopping, no real malt. All they've done here is reduced a cheap beer to its bare minimum and all you can taste is the cheap. It could never be cheap enough though.

Tiny generic lager head, with slight lacing. Crystal clear bronze pour.
Aroma is metallic, astringent, slight lemon. Pretty damn bad. Essence of piss.
Tastes is of carboard malt, soap and cooked cabbage. No bitterness whatsoever.
Very watery, with lively carbonation.
Overall, pretty horrible. Never buying this again.

I cannot work out how this is different from the Premium Dry already listed but they do have different ABVs.

This pours a very pale golden colour. Reasonable head but not very dense. Quickly disappears.

Some hoppy aromas in there. Bit of biscuit as well.

The taste is of grains and that weird metallic aftertaste that CUB seems to specialise in.

Medium bodied.

A very average beer.
