Clean and unoffensive smell. A slight honey sweetness and plain grains.

Simple flavours. A mil;d hop bitterness and a honey sweetness. Not as bad as I was expecting but overall what you would expect from CUB.

Easy on the mouth, thin and watery mouthfeel. Overall refreshing and easier to drink than some CUB alternatives but its still low on the list.

Yeah, it's a tourist gimmick, but I was playing tourist in Alice Springs and bought a 2-litre "Darwin Stubby" of NT Draught. The purchase was more for the bottle than the beer. As they say in 'The Castle,' that bottle's going "straight to the pool room." After we shelled out $25, my wife and I realized that we now had the misfortune of having to consume 2-litres of a Carlton United product in one sitting. Ugh.
The beer just about breaks your wrist as you lift and tilt the bottle, and the beer pours a light straw colour with a soap foam-like head that settles down in short order. The smell is subtle. That is to say there's not much smell.
The taste lacks the metallic bitterness that VB and Carlton sport, and suprisingly, this is not an offensive beer! It's certainly not great, but it is drinkable. The same way Gatorade or iced tea is, I guess. It's quite thirst quenching and has a decent mouthfeel if you're under bright sun on a 40-degree Northern Territory day. No, I wouldn't buy it again. One bottle's all that's needed for the pool room.
