Ah resches.
Soft drink like appearance, clean, light golden to straw in colour. Thin quickly dissipating head which leaves no lacing.
Basic malt profiles and a classic Aussie POR hop bitterness which offers little in the way of flavour.
simple carbonation and mouthfeel, tinny and bland.

The closest thing to Reschs Draught in a bottle it is my favourite beer. Stays fresh tasting until the last mouthful. It is a very fresh taste and when first produced had no preservatives or naddatives listed on the bottle - not sure if this is still the case.

Pale yellow with a light head, slight skunky flavor on pouring. Very light malt/not too pleasant metallic odor.
Not much to the flavor, but not horrible. As with many bitters in Australia, not actually that bitter. Fairly easy to drink though not very satisfying.

This offering from Carlton pours a maize yellow leaving a thin spotchy white lace. The nose is sweet, white sugar, also somewhat chemical in nature. The taste starts bitter with a faint hop presence with a weak, watery, highly carbonated body. Definatly a crisp lager with a slight aftertaste in the finish. Not my "cup of tea" but decent for the style. This is the third offering from the "beer down under" 6 pack. I was very disappointed that this brewery uses the term "bitters" in the titles of their beer and it is a macro lager.

Last time I had this beer was many years ago, at the time I considered that it tasted like paint stripper. Today it tastes to me more strongly of dodgy chemicals than of malt or hops, in fact it doesn't have an ingredients list so god knows what is in here. It lacks the small bitter bite which is one of (for me) the redeeming features of VB. I would describe it as being on the bad tasting side of boring. I have to say that you really know that you are stooping low when you consider buying this merely because of its cheap price.

Cheap and nasty, you can taste the chemicals, "Real Bitter" my arse. Horrible. Forget the name "bitter", i have no idea why Aussie brewers use this name, maybe they were once bitters, but are definitely bottom fermented lagers.
