Can with pastel colored plastic wrap label, sort of an inoffensive look about it. No freshness date.
Pours a nice saturated reddish orange, creamy foam that has a soft meringue texture. Lasting surface coverage and rings of drippy lacing.
Earthy hop aroma, crystal malt, melon rind, cantaloupe sweetness.
Smooth with a light hop bitterness, creamy feel like a nitro pour. Melon or cantaloupe, earthy and resiny green botanical bitterness that lingers into the dry finish. Overall this is a pretty balanced and cohesive IPA.

My wife and I visited her parents recently and after years of visiting Zwanzigz almost exclusively for beer whenever we came down, we decided to switch things up a bit and give 450 North a shot.
This beer pours a slightly cloudy, orangish amber hue that is low on carbonation and is graced with a thin, frothy white head that dissipates rather quickly to a rocky layer with a neck that is retained. 3.5/5 The aroma is mainly of tropical fruits, almost like mixed canned tropical fruits. Plenty of aroma here with a nice complexity. A bit of pine comes through as well but it is mainly fruity. 4/5 The flavor profile is somewhat sweet but nice and hop forward with the same tropical fruits from the aroma showing up here as well along with an undertone of pine resin. As the beer warms, more of the pine makes its way to the front. Bitterness is moderate and lingers quite long after swallowing. 3.75/5 This beer features low carbonation and is a bit puckering with a medium body. It is somewhat astringent and lightly drying with lingering dryness. 4/5 This is a good IPA that is very flavorful and really comes across nice and fresh. Well developed complexity and a very nice combination of flavors makes for a very good IPA. 3.75/5

I wish I knew when this was canned. I have no idea if I'm drinking fresh or weeks/months old IPA. I've had Fruity Nuggets and Dank Candy from 450 Brewing, and both were solid, Fruity Nugs was really good. I've also seen local IPA's in my local stores that blatantly say on the cans "drink fresh" and they were canned in December... It's almost June.
Good beer, though.

First had poured from pint can into nonic pint. My first beer from 450 North, this IPA is tough to categorize . . . maybe a mid-Atlantic IPA from the heart of the American Midwest?

Top notch! Never heard of these folks but would like to taste more from them. Great aroma and citrus taste. Came in a pint can I purchased in a four pack from a local specialty store. A lot of these smaller brewers put out an IPA that make me say "meh"....this one makes me say "yeah!"
