Aroma: This beer comes as advertised. All hazelnut. "It's a bit nutty" to quote Austin Powers. I get a little earthy background hop aroma and some peanut-like aromas but hazelnut is what dominates.

Appearance: Shoe leather brown pour with ruby edges. A lot off-white head that fades and leaves a sticky film on the surface.

Flavor: More hazelnut! The flavor reminds me of Nutella on wheat toast. A little bit of sweetness but fades to some bready and chewy flavors that round out the palate. There is a bit of background hop bitterness and it's dry enough that it's not overly sweet. But the nutty and bready flavors dominate. Balance is to the malt. Finish is dry.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. The carbonation helps improve the perception of dryness.

Overall impression: A drinkable novelty. I wouldn't want it all the time but perfect for the time of year and it lives up to the label. Worth a try.

Dark brown beer. Rocky white head. Nice lacing.

I'm getting a lot of chocolate in the aroma. Very sweet. Some malt. Very chocolately.

The hazelnut must be what I'm describing as "chocolate" because the flavor is reminiscent of Nutella, which is very chocolatey.

A medium bodied dry, grainy mouthfeel. A momentary sweet finish.

This beer is really sweet. And even though it hits the spot right now, I don't think I would want to drink more than one or two of these. With that being said, I really enjoyed it.
