Dark amber brownish-red, clear, with a decent light tan head that falls quickly leaving a fair amount of lacing.

The aroma has nice hints of cocoa with fresh toasted bread.

The flavor has dark toasted bread drizzled with caramel with the same hints of cocoa noted in the aroma and a smooth nutty flavor. Bitterness is mild and the finish is perhaps a bit on the sweet side. A little spicy yeastiness is picked up as well as the beer warms.

Mouthfeel is medium (perhaps a tad on the light side of medium), nicely carbonated and very smooth.

An excellent brown ale, nutty, smooth and just plain tasty. A bit on the sweet side but I like sweet too when the flavors back it up and this beer does seem to handle that readily.

Dark brown beer. Rocky white head. Nice lacing.

I'm getting a lot of chocolate in the aroma. Very sweet. Some malt. Very chocolately.

The hazelnut must be what I'm describing as "chocolate" because the flavor is reminiscent of Nutella, which is very chocolatey.

A medium bodied dry, grainy mouthfeel. A momentary sweet finish.

This beer is really sweet. And even though it hits the spot right now, I don't think I would want to drink more than one or two of these. With that being said, I really enjoyed it.
